You don't HAVE to do a skit if you cosplay, you don't even have to go on stage and if you do you can just perform a walk on ^^

and sailor-moon, your signature picture is ADORABLE! I also loved your costume at AXNY ^^;;

Hehe, like it has already been said, you don't HAVE to perform...but trust me...once you go to the masquerade and see it, you'll really want to. Plus, some cons offer reserved seating to cosplayers in the show, so after you perform your skit, you can be easily escorted to your own chair to watch the rest of the show without the hassle of pushing and shoving through the line. ^_^ It's really fun, and I recommend it. The horizons are so broad...walk-ons to huge 3 minute things...groups to going onstage alone...that any person with any level of experience can really do it. :)

Some conventions have it broken down into two catagories. A group for cosplay, who actually went up and did skits - some relating to their series, some not, and others were in the masquerade, which was a series of walk-ons.

Oh! Skits are great fun! Costumes in general are fun, but it's even BETTER when you can perform in them!

My group did it's first performance at NDK 6 in September, and we had such a good time!

We're planning on doing it again next year!

You do it at the website after you register for the con....

From what you have been telling me....you should sign up for group kareoke....Most people don't do songs for their skits....

I want to do a Gravitation Skit for Otakon 2003 :3 Should it be Yaoi-ful for the audience? And would the judges like that...? I hope they're yaoi fans XD Because Yaoi rules the world. Maybe I could have the group "Performing" on stage and then Mistah K coming in and pointing a gun at everyone shouting out "HOLD UPU!" in the worst possible yet adorablely cute engrish out there. -sighs- I love Mistah K and I creepishly look exactly like Ryuichi :D No wonder I'm going as him at Otakon!
