9. Rival Schools(one of the greatest 3D Capcom fighters ever)
10. Project Justice(Roberto made this game quite boring seeing as how he was top tier)

I'm old school! My favorite fighting game is /still/ Samurai Showdown II! and Galford is my favorite character to use, although I will often play with Charlotte, just because she's blonde and French like me. ^__^

I'm a Cham Cham player... I am almost undefeated with her. Green-haired cat-girls are always cute. escpesially if they have giant boomerangs.

I have SamSho II on my computer... the old Interplay release.

I really want the ShamSho II arcade cabnit becuase my AES doesn't work now.

Joe

10) Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance-
I never thought the MK license would ever be redeemable since 4 (glitchiest piece of garbage ever made), but then, this fun little gem that seems to actually have been play tested for more than 5 minutes reinstills some faith in me.

9) Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution-
Talking about making a great game better. What tiers there were in the first version seem to be a bit more balanced now (even thou some of the new characters seem..overpowered? I dunno), and, well, it's still my fave 3-d fighter.

8) Guilty Gear-
Ah, good ol GGX. Total lack of balance, weak AI, Charge Cancelling, and yes, unblockable destroys. But it's still fun, and it's the fighter that reinvigorated my interests in video games in general.

7) Street Fighter 3: 2nd Impact & 3rd Strike (tied)-
Solid gameplay backed up by great characters, driven by silky smooth animation. Both have their ups and downs (overpowered Sean, kara-throwing), but, hey I <3 parrying.

6) Garou: Mark Of The Wolves-
The best Fatal Fury game. And by best, I mean THE best; tweaked gameplay and incredibly illustrious supers just bring a tear to my eye, considering that this is 15 yr old hardware we're talking about. Oh, and a storyline, too.

5) Street Fighter Alpha 2-
While this isn't the most story-driven SF, it's definitely the most character driven; each has their own personal ending(they're not all like OUT2 GIT BAISUN). Plus, considering the upgrade the gameplay got from Alpha 1, this game is practically flawless. Except custom combos. Can someone say OVERPOWERED? Jesus.

4) KoF 2K2-
After 2 abominations in the form of 2k and 2k1, I was about to give up on SNK and Eolith; my fave went from balanced to absolutely helper happy to crappy art-and-music-design-school experiences.
Then came this. Expectations were low, to say the least.
...well, ok, it's no 98, but it's DAMN close. It's chock full of fan service(Shermie's breasts, Angel's elbow, Mai's...uh....Mai.), fun combos, and characters I like!
Shingo and King will be so fucking missed, though..
Also, another quirk I have with it is the odd HSDM executions. They range from horribly complex to gratuitously easy to perform.
Oh, and Rugal is a bastard of a boss, but in the MK boss way, not the KOF boss way.

3) Guilty Gear X-
World's (second) best fighting game soundtrack? Check.
Excellent, interesting cast? Check.
Fun and replay value? Check...sorta.
Check the Mist Trap to see what I mean.

2) SamSho 2-
The only game I'd consider a precursor to Bushido Blade; no huge combos, no mass amounts of rush down(unless you're Ukyo). Just a game of who will twitch first.

1) Kof 98-
Come on. Do you REALLY need an explaination?
