being the CLAMP fanatic that I am, I would just the X/1999 tv series that just came out if you're in the mood for angsty broody-ness. For cute and adoreable-ness I would suggest Chobits.
I really need to watch more than just CLAMP *shakes head at her own silliness*

Oo forgot - anything that Miyazaki Hayao has made XD Excellent anime. I'd suggest Gundam Wing if you like mecha *trying to think of all the anime she's bought and seen* Definitely Inuyasha and Ranma 1/2 for humor, too. Then again they've been around for a while and I haven't seen anything new for a while >>;; Lots of shoujo and fantasy titles coming out, though ;)

I just got done watching "Onegai Teacher" and I liked that series, it kinda went into tenchi/amg! feel, but it was still cute ^-^ I heard Full Metal Panic is good, but I havent seen it yet. Pita-Ten is soooo cute! And Tokyo MewMew, Chobits, and Tiny Snow are way cute. Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai, and Ai Yori Aoshi are good, and the new Kenshin ova's are great.
Babble Babble. ^_^_^_^

Well, if you haven't seen them, I suggest Arc the Lad, Cowboy Bebop, Vision of Escaflowne (subbed, not dubbed), and any part of the Gundam series ^^;

go to a somewhere that has a list of anime out right now, close your eyes, point to one and check it out. People can recommend things but you might not like any of them, it happens, and if you don't search for yourself and only follow what people recommend you'll never know some of the great ones out there or discover the ones only you could like and understand. Asking around is cool just don't depend on other people to suggest things, or look for you, besides it's alot of fun. Hmmm...go to this title list and explore. http://www.soyokazefans.com/

Well, my favorites would have to be Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Record of Lodoss War, Tales of Eternia, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Himikoden (those being the only ones i've liked enough to see the entire series)
I'd recommend any of those- and they're on my favorites list mostly because the art isn't half-ass like some of the other shows i've seen.
I've heard good things about Arc the Lad, but I would not recommend gundam unless you are a mecha-lover, and under 17. The plot is really basic, and it seems like the good guys never ever lose. It gets tiresome.

I got into Twin Signal through Mega Man, but I've never seen an episode. --; Anyone care to tell me where to get episodes? (I prefer downloads over movies, but whatever works.)

Well, my suggestions are: Cowboy Bebop, Initial D, Chobits and Comic Party!

And this is for everyone! CHOBITS is soooo great! A must see Clamp work. For grown kiddies, but it's sooooo funny!
I love it so much I created a brazilian fan club! Going well so far! ^.^
You can download either anime episodes and manga chapters from the net in great quality.

I'd go with, X 1999, Armitige, and Gasaraki.. But it all depends on your mood..

it's hillarious and tight! might also try Tenchi if ya like that stuff.
Are you into dramas? Please Save My Earth is one of the most in-depth anime I've seen. I love it and the music is beautiful.

It all actually depends on what you want too. There are so many different catigories. But good ones to start out on are things like Evangelion, Akira, Venis Wars (Rahh to the old school), and maybe Ghost in the Shell.
