Hi! I'm making a Jounin/Chuunin vest from the manga Naruto, and I'm stuck on the front scroll pockets. What did you use to fasten them? I've seen those plastic things, like the ones used here (http://toysnjoys.com/naruto/greenvest.jpg), but I have yet to see any that come in the right color. Besides that, they just don't look right.

I've already tried to look through other threads about this, but none that I have found cover this particular topic.

Please help me! I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so this probably wont be easy :p

You could make the pockets just like you would if you were using those things, and use a little square of velcro to hold it shut. Or, if you want to use the clip, you could paint them with acrylics

Massive plastic clip buckles, found at fabric stores. Paint them for the right colour, and that's really all you can do...

I made the clasps I used on my jounin vest out of styrene. It looked accurate, but took a loooong time...

What you could also do is get some side-release buckles and paint them green. (Try lookng for them on ebay. At fabric stores, side -release buckles sell for 2 dollars each, but on ebay I was able to get them for pennies apiece.)
