I just went to the Comic Con web site and found out that Comic Con is two weeks after AX. :( I wish it was the first week of August like last year. This will make it tough on my schedule.

They love to do things like that it seems. At least they are both relativly close to each other.

Just make sure you budget yourself. Comic Con is my favorite con in the world, so I definitely won't miss it. ^_^

Yah, Comic Con was a breath of fresh air for me. After going to the lameless that is the Creation Star Trek Cons going to Comic Con was like heaven!
Starting in June, my cons are essentally going from northern to southern California.
BayCon -> Fanime -> Anime Expo -> Comic Con -> Ani-Magic
My wallet is hurting already...

I'll be going to SDCC, since I had lotz of fun in 2002, so I look forward to going again in 2003. If it were the weekend AFTER AX, then I'd prolly stay in Anaheim (meibi go to Vegas ;)) until SDCC, but since it's 2 weeks I have time to work a week, and then drive ALLLL the way down there AGAIN for another So.CA con..
June-August will be hectic for me, with the cons being pretty close to one another:
June: A-kon, Reccacon, & Fanime
July: AX, SDCC
August: Otakon (3 weeks after SDCC)

Everyone should go to comic con.. It's huge, full of fun events and I can't even think of how many wonderful people I met last year. Whatever you're interested in, it's probably there. A question though.. I was thinking about booking the Clarion hotel this time.. Does anyone else have suggestions?

umm the clarion was where i stayed last year, and it was scary! And the rooms were dirty gross! I'm going to try and stay in the hilton that is right next door to the con. It might be more expensive, but I have 5 of us so far in the room. ^_^

OMG... if i remember famine, ax, and comic con happen within a month of each other. So much for spreading out time for new costumes. But be strong... the cosplay gods look down upon us.

hmm...I'll probably wear the same set of costumes to all the cons. But I am making like 6 new costumes. hehe

It's actually better for me to have them close, because then I can just make one trip to CA this summer instead of two. Last year I had the money for the two tickets, but this year I definately do not. I'm just worried because I'm going to have to take a month off of work for the trip!

Ooo Comic Con-ness. It is rather close to AX, but that's ok I guess. It was like that in 01 too.
Nadeshiko >> I hope you can come to CC again!

Comic Con is certainly a lot of fun and it was my first ever convention I went to back in '98 when the creator of Sailor Moon came out. There hasn't been too much happening lately on the anime side...let's hope for some big name eventually or I'll be stickin to stalking Dominic..j/k :P

Does anyone know about the embassy suites??
Embassy Suites are pretty clean. Rooms are decent. Not spectacular, but it's not like you're living there for weeks. My family usually gots to Embassy Suites when we're traveling.
