I was just wondering if there was anyone here who cosplayed from Angelic Layer.

Misaki is one of the characters I'm going to try and cosplay, so any advice would be most appreciated!

I really want to cosplay my favorite character, Hatoko eventually. I don't see a lot of AL costumes! First that comes to mind is oninomiko's awesome Misaki uniform for a comission and a Hatoko for herself and TyJILDown's Suzauka, cause I saw those here recently and oohed and awwed for a bit. ^^ I swear that anime has the cutest most original looking school uniforms ever. Usually they are bland and all look the same but in AL they're adoreable!! I know there are cheerleader patterns that have the two tone skirt thing Misaki's does. I bought a cheerleader pattern for the skirt though, and it was the most complicated scary thing I've ever seen. x.x I haven't touched it since.

I plan to do Wizard one day when I'm good enough (with a huge pair of wings, as well ^.^). Anyway, if you want, here are some reference pics of Misaki:

If it were me, I would so fake the top. x.x It would get really hot with the fabrics I have a tendecy to use... I would just mock the collar and only make the outer jacket.

I wish I could do Athena's costume, it's got a "beautiful warrior" vibe to it. =P I haven't seen any Athenas around...wonder why no one makes that costume.

I cosplayed Hikaru a couple years ago. It was actually relatively simple to make- even with the skill level I had at the moment. There is a picture of me wearing it somewhere in my gallery.

I cosplayed Misaki a few years ago. For the skirt I used a cheerleading skirt pattern. Was perfect with the white pleats and blue constrast underlayer. For the jacket I used a regular jacket pattern, extended the side for the flap, added a sailor color and cuffs.

I never thought about that, lol. Thanks. I guess my big problem right now is the top. The skirt is easy though.

I wish I had a Hikaru there with me, that would be cool.
