I've got made a silver cross like the one in the picture. My question is,what should I use to make the black lines running down the cross and second, the cross I made has a flat back, what should I do to it to link something so that I may be able to pass a chain/thick thread to ties around my neck (without anything passing through the cross?)

Oh yeah, and do take into account that I have spray painted my cross.

I'd use a thin sharpe for the lines, or some nail polish if done right (dont use a normal brush, tha'd be too big ^^) make sure to spray it with some kind of sealant

Sharpee- marker that never comes off ^^
why dont you hotglue the chain straight to the cross?

E-6000 or epoxy will work better... Covering the whole chain/cord where it attaches will keep it from popping off. Can't think of anything you could use as a loop, especially without adding an unduly amount of extra weight..

SailorMo... SailorMonday? SailorMontauge? SailorMosque? SailorMorning? SailorMontel Williams? I wil assume Sailor Moon *sorry, pokin fun* is correct with the weight assumtion. any loop added to it would definately cause some offset in the balance of the pendant and its apearance. Hopefully its a chain not too important and you can fix it onto the pendant. GL!

LoneWolf: Get a dremel tool with a really smal bit and drill a hole through the end you want to run the chain through.

the chain isn't supposed to go through. It's supposed to go parallel to the cross........like being passed through a loop at the back of one of the ends of the cross.

XLainoftheWired: haha... It's just *Mo* ^.^ I think you may be confusing me with sailor-moon/Aya Mikage? Too many cosplayers calling themselves Usagi or Sailor Moon anyway.. BTW, I got the nickname "Sailor Mo" (ironically) at the ren faire... : P~~

LoneWolf: mebbe check out the jewlery section at a craft store, or the hardware section of Home Depot... a small aluminum tube might do the trick. A large plastic bead? Cardboard's light, but it would get destroyed too easily... ::shrug:: You'll just have to look around I suppose.
