View Full Version : Sewing machine trouble

I own the sewing machine from hell. Whenever I try to use it, it works ok for a while and then the part with the needle won't move. And the reason is that the thread is all tangled up in the bottom part where the bobbin is. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with it or what I'm doing wrong? I don't have enough money to buy a new one either, and besides, this one isn't that old.

Is the bobbin undamaged and the edges smooth if it's made of plastic?

Did you set the thread tension correctly?

Has the machine been cleaned and oiled?

I had similar problems you were having, so I took the bottom cover off and found a pin lodged in the bobbin case area. Oops! I cleaned the area of lint and oiled a few moving parts while I was at it and it now sews normally.

Maybe you should bring it into a sewing machine shop and have it checked out?
