Seeing as con going isn't exactly cheap, especially with the hotel pricing, here's a nice little thread to aide in locating roommates to share the price. If you already have a room then just post with the hotel info, how many roommates you'd like, and how much they would pay per night. If you don't have a room and are looking to latch onto someone who already does, for a fair price, then just post how much your willing to spend/how many nights you'd like to stay in a hotel.

I really need a place to stay! ;____;

I'm clean and neat and I don't like to party.

Please PM me if you can let me in your room!

I'm not sure but I don't feel like going home everynight for a few hours either. One room for three days is..about...$300 right? There is a nightly rate of $100? I'm horrible with reserving a hotel...

I have a plan though...we chip in for one room for two nights..then we sneak more people into the hotel...ingenius...Poor hotel...I hope none of us get busted. :sulk:

I'll talk to my friend about the hotel because she doesn't want to drive home and stay for about an hour and then drive back again.

I'll see if you can room with us though..once she gets back from out of town..

Okay, I found a bunch of people who wouldn't mind sharing a room, but we're all going to split the cost if we have enough people to chip in...

That works for me actually, how much are we splitting the cost by?

300/night a room? Thats insane!
Isn't the con setting up any deals with the hotels?

Psst, it said 300 for the room, so 100 per night.

Just for a frame of reference, the room I'm staying in about 150 a night, so 100 a night seems reasonable.

Hey guys. I'm sorta in a bind here.

Heres the deal. I *have* to be at Nekocon. Me and a friend of mine run a webcomic called "Hookie Dookie Panic!" (www.hookiedookiepanic.com). We've got a table in Artists Alley. That requires 2 people there at all times. Him and me.

The artist is coming with the Connecticon group because he runs Main Events there, henceforth has a free room.

I, however, do not. Although I am from now on running their AMV Contest in full, I live in NJ whilst their dealings are in CT. But thats neither here nor there.

Me and a friend are stuck with 2 options:

Either A) Find someone generous enough to allow 2 very nice, humble and clean people to room with them (For a price, of course).

B) Get a room at the extended rate (Which is $159 a night now, since the Nekocon block is sold out) and pray to god we find at least 2 other people to help share the costs.

So, if anyone here could PLEASE possibly email me or PM me here and let me know if they could help with either situation.

The reason I am asking here is because, since I've been to quite a few cons, I know that most Cosplayers are reliable people. I don't cosplay myself but I have a LOT of respect for the amount of work and money that goes into creating them.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, my boyfriend and I (Nekoto) are in need of a hotel room. We don't like parties or anything like that and might just want to chill out in the hotel room and sleep peacefully at night.. So we're willing to split evenly with any other people. We'd like to share a bed but if not, we'd like space on the floor for an air mattress. We're friendly people and easy to get along with. We're clean and we don't bite. :P So, if anyone has some space in their room, please PM me and we can discuss the details. Thank you.

PSsst. Just so you know there are two other hotels close by linked on Neko's page where you can stay for cheaper rates than then con rate. My friends and I booked at the Holiday Inn which without the con rate which was 99.00 went for 80 bucks a night. It's a little more walking, but who cares. It's cheaper and saving money means you have more to spend on swag.
