Hey there ... I'm looking to make a circle skirt and am having a hard time finding a tutorial or even a brief explaination of how it is acheived. I've sifted through tons of search results and havn't found anything useful. So, if anyone wants to briefly explain or has found some sort of tutorial they could share that'd be great! Feel free to post any EGL related tutorials too ... I need some inspiriation ^^

Hi there!
http://gothfashion.info has a very well-written circle skirt tutorial. You're right, they are surprisingly hard to come across! ^^;;
You asked about other EGL tutorials as well, are you looking to make a lolita skirt? If so, I would not use a circle AT ALL. I swear by this method: http://www.livejournal.com/community/egl/1009565.html It takes SO much less fabric, is infintely easier to hem, and looks much more EGL than a circle skirt! I recommend looking through the memories at the EGL LiveJournal Community (http://www.livejournal.com/community/egl/). They have tons of tutorials. Hope that helps!^^

You can also find very nice circle skirt patterns from McCalls and Simplicity by looking through the costume sections of their catalogues (www.mccall.com and www.simplicity.com). Poodle skirt patterns would be what you want...just minus the poodle...

Thanks, I actually picked up an easy-sew pattern of a poodle skirt, so hopefully all will go smoothly from here ^^

for other tutorials, i think thtere are some on crosses and petticoats (http://www.magnet-holic.net/crosses/alice.html), and on sekushisushi's site. (http://porcelain.dirtywings.org/porcelain/index2.html) the only bad thing about that site is that she did not give me credit for my sailor collar tutorial. ;_; ah well. there are still some worthwile tutorials on there. i also think i found a tutorial or two on a belly dancing site, so you might want to look on some of those. good luck!
