Yea everything was fun except for waiting in line for Registration. Ahhh Registration Line is EVIL! LOL So I missed that cosplay.com meet, oh well it was still fun. I saw some of the parade while getting to registration, it was awesome and alot of good art was displayed. I think i'll go again next year also, but im going to make sure I PRE-REGISTER and join the parade ^_^

I had a really great time hanging out with everyone that I saw. :) I'll definetly be back next year. ^_^ The few pictures that I took will be up shortly, at which I'm I'll link to them either on this thread or a general photo links thread.

Yay Dragon*Con! I hope you guys who are still there are having a great time! Try to get *some* sleep. ;)

I missed the Cosplay.com meet as well; took a bunch of pics over the weekend that I will post eventually. I was the Scarlet Witch on Friday, Cloud City Leia (from Star Wars) on Saturday and was wearing a green embroidered sari on Sunday.

it was fun, though my feet are still aching, and i am very, very happy to be back in reliable air conditioning. we left right before the masquerade on sunday 'cause my group and i were just so darned tired..we're just old farts, i guess. heh heh.

if you'd like to check out the pics i took (and if you see yourself there and don't want to be there, let me know..) they're at:

I had the time of my life!! This was my first con ever and I have to tell you I should have gone years ago. I also missed the cosplay.com meeting after the parade, but I was hangn' with Cobra (cobracares.com). I still got to meet a lot of people on this site at Dragon Con so even thought the meeting after the parade didn't seem to work like we wanted, it's all good.

So many positive comments I want to list about members/staff of cosplay.com. I'll have to get to posting those later. I, like everyone else, am a little tired and need some rest to deal with the real world tomorrow.

I hope everyone returns from the places they are from safely. For those that could make it this year as well as those I ran into and meet for the first time I look forward to meeting you all again for Dragon Con 2K6!

Despite the fact that the trips to and from the 'Con were HELL ON EARTH and some evil glitch resulted in us having to wait four hours for a hotel room, it was one of the highlights of my year for sure. My Vash costume got a lot of nice compliments (and a LOT of fangirls wanted hugs from the humanoid typhoon. Hawhaw) as did my Pyramid Head. (Even though a lot of people weren't familiar with the character.) I got to see lots of Voltaire shows, found a buncha cool stuff in the dealer's room, met a lot of folks I've become aquainted with over the past few 'cons (as well as met a few new people) and basically drove my body past it's exhaustion tolerance point for the sake of fun. Huzzah!

I did make it to the Cosplay.com photoshoot, and it was neat even though I haven't been posting here for very long. I'll be sure to start uploading tons'a pics as soon as I can!

Dragon*Con 2005 was the most fun I've had. Period. Friday I was Chris Redfield...people recognized me, more people yelled "OMG IT'S GI JOE!"...meh. BUT...Saturday I went as Angel from Buffy, won the Buffyverse costume contest, and then me and a girl dressed up as Buffy got our pictures taken several hundred times (literally) by 4:00 AM. Sunday I started the day as Chris Redfield again, the lack of recognition made me sad, so I finished with another Angel session and went home happy :)

Me an my homies had a great time. We came, we saw, we likee Dragon*Con. There was no real negatives that we went through, a fairly smooth experience for me and my buddies. All in all a great convention that I would recommend to ANYONE who likes sci-fi, fantasy, anime, horrer, action, suspense, comics, etc...

Um....its over and i dont feel like I did anything. Then again we had alot of other crap that happened and make it kinda blah. THe getting in and out of costume and dragging my death hauler around was absolutly no fun. I met Eurobeat King, and a few other ppl on cosplay.com.

I had my pic taken a million times and slept very little. I think Ill be in recovery for a month.

The con was a blast. Met up with lots of other Star Wars cosplayers and had a great time talking to everyone. The Ghostbustin' the parade was a lotta fun and glad we didn't miss it! Meeting the multiple celebs was a cool thing. All of them were fun to be around. Big shout out to Eurobeat King for more great photography! The Team will post our pics as soon as we have'em ready.

Haha, yeah if anyone knows who won the masquerade fill us in please? I get the feeling I wasn't the only one who left after the Phantom-of-the-Opera-as-Monsters bit went longer than five minutes...the costumes were amazing, but I'm just not that into ballroom dancing

If I remember correctly...
Best in show: Dragon Rider
Best Novice: Siddhartha (the sword dancer)
Best Master: Island of Misfit Toys

I don't remember the best journeyman, but I think it was the barbarian warrior with the steel armor. The best children's entry was the kids who did the nicely choreographed lightsaber battle.

Dragon*Con was blah. I had much more fun last year. There were more guests that I wanted to meet last year, too. This year half the Firefly cast cancelled and I was bummed because I wanted to meet Mal. ;___; I could have gone to meet the Weasley Twins, but whatever. The most fun times were just standing around in costume hanging out with friends, getting pics taken, and meeting the Red vs. Blue guys. They were nice.

I bought nothing, did nothing, and slept a lot. I give it a C-

I had a lot of fun meeting new people and hanging out with people who I do not see that often. I didn't get all of the autographs that I wanted mainly because I kept busy. I had a lot of fun at the Sailor Moon photoshoot (I was Jupiter) and it was great meeting everyone! I was also Abigail Whistler from Blade Trinity (I was the girl who had the black and red compound bow and the ipod)

Ooh! Thank you~!

I was a little surprised that the robot suited guys (there were 3 of them, based on some sort of miniatures game, looked sort of superdeformed) didn't pick up any awards. They looked pretty damn cool.

Dragon-Con was a blast, once again. I'm still feeling the after effects: sore back, sore throat, aching feet, headache, and more...

Sorry I didn't make it to the Cosplay.com meet-up / Photoshoot. The photographer I got for the Firefly People showed up right away so we didn't have a chance to do both. Maybe next year. Next year I'm deteremined to do less events and have more fun hanging out and cosplay photo hunting. I took less that 40 pics this year !^_^

See my man I knew you where no G.I. "Sissy mary" Joe! Mostly, because I was a Cobra Trooper. You may remember me b/c I was the one who came up to you and the "Red pants" Buffy and was talking smack. Then I got threaten by a Dark Jedi with a light saber for it which I promptly paid him off with a tall cold glass of "Snake Fuel". That trade lead him to hand my is red Sith like light saber to defend myself from the stake wielding Buffy. I guess you remember that guy, right?

Seriously, it was great meeting you and your crew of folks. Dragon Con 2K5 was my first con ever and I had a blast hangn' with you and everyone I could meet from cosplay.com. I also had a hellava' time being a cobra trooper going around doing Strong Bad impersonations and trying to recruit everyone I meet. Starting to wish I meet more people from this site so I could tell them how wonderful their cosplay and costume are. Maybe next year.

I wish I could get a copy of the footage from you so I can show the guys at Cobracares.com. Maybe see if I can reduce it down to a low grade mpeg format and put it on the web. aaagh!

when did he perform?

Bevandera

I missed him also: when I went down to the celebrity room, he wasn't at his table. On the way out, I ran into C. Martin Croaker (the voice of Zorak the Mantis on Space Ghost and the Brak Show) and he was trying to find his table. Dunno how organized it all was, but I was sad I didn't get to hear his natural speaking voice.

I did see a Mandalorian street gang in Fett armor going around with a boombox blaring "Fett's Vette", MC Chris' rap about being Boba. Friggin hilarious.

Here's the chorus:

My backpack's got jets
I'm Boba the fett
I bounty hunt for Jabba the Hutt
To finance my 'vette
<wiggy wiggy wiggy>
I chill in deep space
A mask is over my face
I deliver the prize but I still narrow my eyes
Cuz my time I don't like to waste.

Well I was escorting a " con / Dragon-Con " virgin (a friend who flew in from California), so I was everywhere but nowhere in one spot. I think I might have seen you. Sat were you in the Serenity gown with a Venus and had wings? (I was in the big Umbrella group that was roaming around).

I knew I wasn't going to be doing a lot of stuff at this con because I drove down which was pretty expensive and I spent a lot of money before the con cause I'm a retard heh.

But I did have a lot of fun, hung out with people I rarely get to see now adays that don't even go to anime cons. So I was pretty happy in the end.

I did discover that Buffalo Chicken Strips at Hooters rule all

And during the road trip I did get to hit Sonic and Steak N Shake which neither are anywhere near where I live so thats a plus there too.

This was my first Dragon*Con, and lemme tell ya I was scared to death. Prolly not the best place for someone with a bit of a crowd phobia. I went anyway because I'm trying to beat it. Well, I failed. Had at least one freakout every day of the con, except for Monday when it wasn't so busy. Got separated (or kinda ditched, whichever) from my group a few times, which didn't help. But, aside from that and the usual drama that seems to follow the people I hang with, I actually had a good time. A few people liked my Random Bard costume, so that was a plus. ^^ Still dead tired. I don't understand this. This is normal for Freakin' Huge Cons, right?

Maybe I'll try to beat the phobicness down again next year, XD

Sigh. Reality has come barreling back into my life like a supreme slap to the face as well. At least I have a Nintendo DS to keep me distracted at school, now. And, the 100+ Final Fantasy/Voltaire/Trigun tracks I've added to my iPod are like portable little bits of Dragon*Con to cushion the blow somewhat. Sigh. UNTIL NEXT YEAR.... and maybe until Otakon, as well. We'll see if I make it to that one. But Dragon*Con is the only definite.

I got to meet Eurobeat King (though I didnt recognize him until the Cosplay.com meetup) and A-tastic. Along with a few wonderful others from here.

Even thuogh my car got broken into and my makeup and toiletries and hair stuff got taken (boy I bet they were upset that they got nothing of selling value, though they did get my glasses, the pricks) I had people help me to get makeup for my fairy costume on Sunday and a ton of ppl went the extra mile to make up for the hickup.

I was in great spirits the entire weekend. I really enjoyed cosplaying. Both my costumes debuted better than I expected :D I am overjoyed! SOOOO looking forward to next year. I am already planning costumes!

Yeah it was my first con, I think I took pretty well to it because I have a fucked up sleeping schedule anyway-lots of little naps and very little "long" sleep peroids. I miss it though, just being able to get up and wandere around and do whatever, it makes you realize how hectic your life really is. Especially since I'm a part-time college student and part time worker for a job I mostly loathe. :juggler:

But at least it gave me unexpected artistic inspiration. I noticed the absolute lack of comics truly aimed at women; namely women that like other women or men and women. So I've set myself to writing a comic that's main character is female and gay. It definitely gives me something to do.
