i cant really complain i think this is the best snake ive seen so far ,maybe id suggest getting darker kneepads

Yeah. The kneepads look a little out of place. Can you get a better picture?
But dude. You're cosplaying as Solid Snake?
*Writes his name down in her book of totally awesome people*
that picture is so dark o_O; It's hard to see the detail of the costume, do you ahve a better picture perhaps?

yeah.. I can't really see the picture (my retarded half-broken monitor doesn't help, I'm sure). and could you post a pic of the character? I know who Snake is, of course, but I don't have everything memorized about his costume.

Thats a fine job on the costume, but I would go for some darker kneepads as suggested earlier. SWAT knee-protectors aren't that much and can be found online easily. Good luck ^^v

It's really good so far!!
I loooove Solid snake.
I can't really tell from that picture but everything looks kinda black.. is it black or dark blue? I can't remember if his fatigues vary from game to game or not..x.x;

If you're going for the look,you have it DOWN! ^^
As for the costume,I can't see anything as it's pretty dark

That's gotta be the finest amateur MGS1 Snake costume I've seen to date! Heck, I think it even looks better than the pro ones I've seen (better definition in the shoulders).
The kneepads are actually okay, if you're shooting for accuracy. In MGS1, Snake's pads were the lightest element of his costume, a soft gray. But I think darker pads would look better in general. One interesting point about his MGS1 pads, they're rectangular with a chisled bevel. That just so happens to be the same that the Huston and Dallas S.W.A.T. team wears, so SOMEONE has to manufacture pads like that.
Also, I could have sworn on the MGS1 costume, Snake used a quick connect plastic belt buckle instead of the millitary clasp style belt buckle.
BTW, great posture! It really helps capture the Solid Snake essence. So many people forget that posture really makes a world of difference. Snake doesn't do bravado, he doesn't pose like a supermodel, and he doesn't smile (except that time when some kids at the mall beat up Otacon and took his smoothie).

If you can find the 12" Solid Snake figure, it has a pretty good representation of his MGS1 costume...
We've been trying to figure out the stealth camouflage... No luck so for. But, if you DO figure out a way to make yourself completely invisible, please share!!

You need a card board box and you're set! But that's the best Solid Snake I've seen! ^.^ You did great! The knee pads need to be abit darker though like Jade said.
