So then. I have been in a few cosplay groups. None of them seem to last long, because others always want to branch out and make their own. But at last I have decided to attempt to make another group. The name is yet to be decided.

What I am loking for:
People, male or female, ages 12-18
People who make or help to make their own costumes
People who are able to go to most major conventions in the Toronto area
Non shy people

: | oh you are so cool. You can stick in random japanese words, that also happen to be slightly irrelevant. And until i see something that you sewed I still stand by the fact that you can't sew.

Hi!

Can we please keep this on the topic of finding cosplay group members?

Thanks.

I would love to join a cosplay group, but I'm a little over 18 -_- I don't look it though. Most people think I'm still 16 ^^;; Can ya join if you look young enough? ^^;

12 year olds aren't allowed to register here so you might wanna bring that up to 13. =/

age 18 is a little high to be considered "children" (But I guess it depends on your mental state)

Michi
09-27-2005, 10:17 AM
That too. XD; But maybe it's like, since "18 is adult" it'd be the last year you can be in the group. :X

Oh, now I feel old. :PPPP (*kidding!!*)

Why 12 - 18?
Probly becuase most cosplay groups wouldnt be willing to accept younger people

how can that be true? O_o|||

Why 12 - 18?
Well Because I was loking for a younger group. You know, as opposed to those groups of cosplayers/random friends who rely on one or two people to make the costumes. Yes they look great and whatnot but they are often 17+ (not always, but often) I also want to help say... some of the newer cosplayers get the feel of a convention and whatnot. Plus it is cute >.>

( and I say 12, not 13, because people may know people. Siblings, relations, friends form school, etc.)

As surprising as it seems, it is true. I am not talking the sorta... cosplay gangs that just group ranodmly at a convention. I am talking the sort of group that say... helps each other, maybe works together on one show or something of the sort. Many of these types of groups only want people who are older or very specific people.

hehe but that's because we all grow up! I was 14 when I started....and am almost 20 now ^_^;; so its not necessarily "groups don't accept younger people", people just grow up. I guess.

Anyway, good luck with this :bigtu:

Woot first post! Actually I'd be interested in joining as I'm actually just starting to cosplay this coming year. Slightly older then 18 , turning 20 in December, but I've been told I look as young as 15 to as old as 25.

I know basic sewing, like buttons and patchwork. But I'm learning from my dad about more advanced sewing and I think a group like this would be good for me to start out in.

Hmm It seems all right. We will make allowances for thsoe slightly older, especially if they are just learning to sew. n__n

i find this is an odd way to start a cosplay group.....most groups r started by a group of friends that share a love of cosplay taht want to do something together. and plus, it's always easier if you all know each other beforehand so it'll be easier to get in touch. but to try to make a group on an online forum.....i don't think is the best way. i'm sry if your previous groups didn't work out

chiku
10-08-2005, 10:23 AM
O__O what did keely tell you? If she said anything about me not making my costumes don't listen to her... she was telling everyone she made her garnet costume for CN05 but she got her Grandma to make it ...and she helped... picking out the pattern, and the headress only though.
