View Full Version : Local newspaper interviewed me at CN, can anyone help me find the article?

Hello all... I hope no one minds me starting a new thread, but I was wondering if any of you GTA folks could help me out. I'm from New Brunswick, and at CN Anime this year a reporter from a local newspaper interviewed my boyfriend and I and took a few pictures. She said the newspaper was called "Twenty Four" (I think... why didn't I ask her for a website? :hafha: ). Has anyone heard of this newspaper or seen the article?

Here's a reference picture of us. (Credit to r2vq for this picture)

If anyone could help me or give me any ideas on how to find this newspaper that would be great... it was my first costume (re-vamped from this year's AN), so I'd love to see something about it. Thanks! :japan:

Yeah, I remember at AN we got filmed by CBC and this guy making a documentary interviewed my boyfriend... I really wish I could find this stuff.

Here's a present for you, Rock nam Lee...

Well, just because you were filmed, photographed and interviewed doesn't mean it's going to automatically end up on the tv or in the newspaper. I'm sure many people were interviewed and many photos taken, and they'll decide later which ones make it in.

I was interviewd for TV while at a con, but didn't make it. I guess we just weren't interesting enough or flashy enough on screen or something. :P

Good luck, though, hope you did. It's always fun finding yourself in the media since it's usually so rare.

What's wierd is when it happens and you don't know whats happening. Then later having someone call you to say you were on TV.

That happened to me last year at AN. An asian TV station interviewed me and another girl who were dressed as different variations of the sma e character, but the show was filmed and aired live, so we never got to see it :(

Some guy (actaully he gave me his card *goes to get it* oh I guess I lost it..oopse) from the Toronto Star interviewed me for like twenty minutes on Sunday and all that got in the article was "Wow, look it's Miroku" which I told him was something I got VERY used to hearing throughout the CNanime. :P I was still happy to get anything in the newspaper at all, heehee.

P.S. isn't 24 that free mag. they have at bus stops -- at least in Mississauga and Brampton I always see it.

If something was in 24, it'll be very hard to find it again. It's a daily (I'm not very sure on this) free magazine given out at public places, such as bus stations and the lot. They probably had only a small article on CN, since that's what they always do (Annoying, it really is. I've had photos taken before and then in the end, only one photo from the event will get published.)

Thanks for your help, everyone... I never did find the article, I couldn't find any sort of archives of past articles on the website. Hopefully we did get in there, she took quite a few pictures and seemed really interested. Of our group being interviewed three times between CN and AN, I was hoping to find at least something. No luck :lost: Thanks a lot for trying!
