Yes my friends you read, 2 bands for Ohayocon! Can you believe that you will be rocking out to 2 wonderful bands?!?

I know I lied I said we weren't going to have a Japanese band...but...we have:

Peelander Z! http://www.peelander-z.com/
They have been making their rounds on the con circut and we were lucky to get them. So please a BIG round of appluase for Rik Dean for making this possible. He has really worked hard.

We also have....Spoony Bards
They are an American Anime and Video Game Music group that are playing in Ohio and surrounding areas. You might have hear them at Reactor, Anime Central, and at Youmacon.

There WAS a possiblity that MC Chris was going to appear. We had him under contract but he has cancled almost all of his Ohio apperences. (He cancled at MidOhiocon as well) so. No MC Chris this year for Ohayocon.

We are looking at one MORE. YES, you read that right. ONE MORE BAND!

Three Bands? At Ohaycon? Thats Bananas!

Marsie, you just rock.

*crosses fingers* I will be the happiest girl if that last band is Steve Conte or the Pillows. *hopes hopes hopes* But if not, so far Ohayocon hasn't let me down yet. Have I told you how much you guys rock yet? *cheers for Marsie*

Aw man, too bad about MC Chris. I just missed him in Chicago, he played there about 2 weeks after I moved to Japan.

My friend plays with the Spoony Bards, though, and he just told me today that they're playing Ohayocon as an added incentive to get me there. That's awesome that they're getting press!

EDIT: I just checked out the Peelander Z website and they look awesome! Plus they've played shows with the Phenomenauts, who I love.

Peelander Z played at Colossal Con. Although I didn't go to see the show, as I was busy with other stuff at the time, what I could see and hear, they were pretty awesome. I heard they put on quite a show. ^_^

I wonder if Miyavi would come next year.... He wouldn't be that expensive to bring over. All we need is someone to make a exetremely huge, pretty sign, and all he needs is a microphone and guitar...^^:;;

It's a possiblity?

God, But Peelander Z is a gem!! ^^:;;;

I doubt you'd find myv at a mid-sized con like Ohayo... Otakon, or even Acen would be more likely, I'd think.

I'm not happy with Ohayo Con's choices in bands, but there's not much I can do about it. Unfortunally for alot of Northeastern Ohioians have seen Peelander Z at Colossal. I'll be doing things other wise then the concerts. Do we know when they will be playing at least?

Well, there's such a thing they had to work with called a BUDGET. ^_^

Big names cost big $$$ and unless you want to start paying admission costs comparable to Otakon it might be a while before they're able to get names like Miyavi or Gackt etc. etc.

Not to say that they wouldn't try though! ^_^

Kalajessta- You are REALLY trying my patience on this issue. I think your issue with the bands was taken care of at the Ohayocon boards. While we are trying to please all of our con goers, we can not please all of them.

Spoony Bards is an excellent band. They are working hard in order to be playing most of the weekend.

Peelander Z are a band that you can not see just once. They are always changing and always entertaining.

I will give you some advice that will help you on:

If you can't say something nice. Don't say anything at all.

I was just stating I wasn't happy about the choices. Secondly, I was asking when the bands where playing at Ohayo Con so I can plan to attend events around it,..

You have stated your displeasure over so much that I honestly don't know why you attend conventions - nothing seems to make you happy.

The comment about planning to do things around the bands is unnecessary and rude. As with every single convention out there, you will be able to see the programming guide at the con, and you will then be able to see your options outside of seeing the bands we have this year. Be patient, wait to get to the con, then you can set your personal event schedule. I like to take a highlighter and color in the programming blocks I'm interested in, and make notes about photoshoot times.

Ohayocon is doing the best that they can to please their attendees. If all of their efforts leave you unhappy, then perhaps this isn't the right convention for you to attend this year.

You know what makes me happy....500 wolfwoods in an elevator with me in the middle...*pushes the emergency stop button*

To answer you question yet again, we do not have the schedual out yet, but most likely it will be Friday or Saturday night. And the spoony Bards are planning on playing most of the weekend.
