Okay, i plan for I-CON, that i'm going ask Dante from DMC3. My friend wants to go as Virgil as well. Yet, i can't find any place, that mjight possiblyu sell a Dante DMC3 trench, and no one has anything that would relate to the Virgil costume. I'm not the greatest at Sowing, but i'm having some trouble wioth the costumes. I can't really make swordsa all too well. I did buy the Rebellion sword atleast. Yet, the Yezumoto (Virgils Katana) is near non-existant. It can't find it anywhere, and i'm completely stumped on how to make it. Anyone have any ideas on where i might find Virgils Katana, and any ideas or places to buy Virgil/Dantes cosplay clothing???

For the Virgil sword, try a Google search... Type "decorative blue katana"... You could find good prices (between 30 and 80$)...
Small examples: http://www.swordsdirect.com/reverse-katana-sword.html http://www.spiral.org.uk/acatalog/LSAMBLUE.jpg http://www.bltimports.com/servlet/the-13/Decorative-Samurai-Sword-Set/Detail http://www.by-the-sword.com/acatalog/images/SG092.jpg
Hope this helps...

Vergil's katana, the Yamato, is pretty much a basic katana with some design work and a blue sheath with ribbon. That first one actually would work rather well, even though it is a reverse blade like in Ruroni Kenshin.

i can suggest Sewing Goddess (http://www.sewinggoddess.com/Frames/MainPage.html) for creating trenchcoats, but it *will* cost you a bit, especially if you want it in leather. probably around $250-300 for one, and thats if you supply the leather i think....youd have to email her and ask though, along with a lot of reference images. however she did one for a friend of mine and it is solid.
plus it depends on how long you have left til you need it (being from the UK i dont know US con timings through the year).
as for the rest of, Vergil's is definitely harder if youre going for accuracy, given his trousers appear to be scale patterned and possibly leather, and his waistcoat i would say is hard leather looking at it....in other words, not a cheap costume for accuracy. oh and the boots, although i am doubtful its going to be hard to find something similarish in the US.
ive been considering this one myself, btu im putting it on hold for a while i think due to complexity and cost. :)

It'll be pretty damn hard for you to find any kind of trenchcoat that resembles Dantes or Vergils :P You'll probably either have to start from scratch or get a comission~ I actually have a tutorial on how to make a Vergil costume but I warn you, the costume will probably cost you an arm and a leg if you use the same supplies. Mine ran me up around $250 at least. PM me if you want it :d

well to go with that one link that the person sent you about comissions ive got some reference pictures i drew up for my dante coat that i handed the people that i had it commissioned from if you want to use em, unfortunately it doesnt include the harnass since i had that made seperatly so that it could be detachable, but im a perfectionist so yeah ...., not to mention i went on a search and found a gold mine of reference pics for the coat online, High Poly CG images, screenshots from the game, fan art, and i havent deleted any of them, so if you need help on any specific part of it just PM me and ill more then likely have a pic of it (more so for the dante coat then the vergil coat), when it comes to the materials, if youre going to supply them, and you want to be as accurate as possible and the least expensive, id go with immitation leather or "pleather" its cheap and it looks good, as for the swords, im actually having trouble with that myself and thats about the only thing left i need besides the official ebony and ivory guns.
