I'm fairly new to the art of building cosplay costumes, But I have nearly 10 years of experience as a costume designer -- working professionally in collegiate, community, and professional theater. After being introduced to Cosplay over a year ago, I have decided to use my costume and design skills to create beautiful costume pieces inspired by various anime, video games, tv series, and movies.
I will not offer wigs or props other than jewelry because I'm just not very good a re-creating such items.

Whoot! I can now take new commissions!
Heres all the info you should need!
Generally my costumes run 200 on up ( might be less, depending on the costume(s) your looking at commissioning) and shipping is a flat rate of 8.10.
All costumes are shipped priority (2-3 days delivery time) and are insured.
I genrally take 1-2 weeks to make a cosutme, once again, time depends on exactly what the costume is.
You can see reference work at my photobucket site, since i only have one costume up on this site so far:
i usually try to update it once a week, depending on when i get commissions and how busy i am with the commissions.
I take all forms of payment,(credit card, paypal, money order, etc) however,i do frown upon cash in the mail. its not safe; just dont do it
I do payment scheduals, if you cant pay the full amout, or are just being causious. ^ ^
I can do rush orders, though they will cost a bit more.
So there you have it folks! You can PM me or email me at:

Hello I have been taking commissions since 2004. I only work on costumes I know I can work on examples: Sailor Fukus, dresses, kimonos, .I will not take an order that is out of my capabilities. The items I wont make are armour , huge props, or really complicated costumes examples: Lenneth ValKyrie Profile, Buster Swords, . I try to make the prices as fair as I can.
I can also styles wigs of the anime characters examples:Sailor Moon, short haired characters, fairly simple designs. I am also limited to styling the wigs.I cant style wigs such as examples: Cloud FF7 and the such. But it never hurts to ask what you want.
I always send a contract first if you want work done by me. That basically states that I am making such item for you.
To check out my work you can look under "Commissions" on my cosplay gallery. Or my commission website the link is located in my signature. Both sections are updated for every order I do. ^_^

I Have done Inu Yashas Tetsusigia 3 times!! 2 smaller versions, one in silver and one in white. They look good and carry around better in large crowds, but still give a nice size feel. Then one that IS OVER SIDED...65 inches!! thats over 5 feet!!
I have also have made every costume in my costume list so you can check those out as well^_^
You can see the results of the commissions in my photos in "commission!!"

I've been costuming since 1999 and have made over fifty costumes to date. I make costumes, accessories, and some props. I tend toward high end creations because I prefer to work with quality materials and my work is both durable and beautiful. I can work with just about any kind of fabric (spandex and PVC included) but I don't make armor (leather, metal, etc.) I'll be entering the textile arts program at Georgia State University this fall so I'm going to start experimenting with weaving and dying techniques soon.
I've recently started making nylon fairy wings and accessories, and my prices for these pieces are extremely competitive. I do both pre-made wings and fairy accessories as well as custom creations. Custom creations are only slightly more expensive than pre-made items.
You can see examples of my work here in my photo galleries, or feel free to visit my website at http://www.wonderlandclothier.com
04-25-2006, 02:34 PM
I recently opened shop to start taking wig commissions through my site, MistyKat Studios (http://www.hikarimage.com). My turn-around right now is at about 6 to 8 weeks from when I receive your downpayment and my costs are for materials, shipping, and $10.00 per styling hour.
Interested? Check out my site (http://www.hikarimage.com)or email me (mailto: email@example.com) with your details!!!

I've got 100% perfect feedback on ebay, where I sell a lot of pre-made costumes. I have commissioned a bunch of stuff as well.

~Props and Armor~
No matter how complicated, large, or small. Weither you need it next year or next week. I will commision props and armor.
Anything from a pendent to a full gundam suit.
I work with your price range; if you are going low cost, then I will tell you about cheaper materials and/or construction methods to fit your price range. I work with everything from hot glue to fiberglass.
If you contact me, I will work with you to insure the highest quality product possible; weither its over the phone or through email, untill everything is layed out to the "t". It is of the utmost importance that we are able to communicate so that there are no "supprises" down the road.
Most times, If you want a prop that I have allready made, the price will be drastically lower than for one that I have yet to make.
Needless to say the more intricate your request is the longer it will take and the more it will cost. For the more expensive commisions you may be required to pay half of the final cost up front for materials for the commision.
I have learned half of what I know from the internet and half from experience. If asked, I will gladly suggest methods for making the prop yourself or, if need be, I will give tips and advice on howto work with different materials.
Contacting me is free, and I am always willing to answer any of your questions.
PM me here, EMAIL me at email@example.com, or just head to the website (http://users.ameritech.net/iron-oak/oliva_studios_main.htm).

I am now taking costume commissions. This is not limited to things that can be sewn. I can do sewn costumes and jewelery. Just about everythignng except for wigs. I have been doing costumes for my daughter and now for cosplay. I especially love doing Suikoden costumes and have done Agnes and Rita.
Also my husband is taking prop commissions made of wood, plastic, metals, and just about any type of material. My husband makes all of the props and accessories for our costumes. He has quite a bit of experience of making high quality swords and will make armor. Sword prices start at $50 on up all with a nice automotive finish.
We are located in Central Illinios and can do the fittings in person if you live in or near our area.
The rates is full price for materials and a reasonable sliding scale of price per hour based on difficulty of product. I only require a deposit equal to the cost of materials to make the costume.
Here is some samples of my work more to come in the next few days:
You can either PM me or e-mail me at Nissaelf@yahoo.com
06-07-2006, 03:05 AM
Well I'm kind of new to commisioning but I feel I'm up to the challenge. I am now commisioning props including but not limited to swords, sheaths, guns, staffs....basically weapons I can do other things too but I've mainly made weapons in the past. If you want to see some of my work check out my props section in my photo gallery
My best props so far that I've made for myself are my Tusken Raider mask (made from a kit), Master Sword, and Master Sword Sheath which I havent got pictures up of yet. Feel free to drop me a PM or email me at Forcebewitya@yahoo.com
If you have something you want made email me and I'll come up with an estimate which is subject to change depending on how fast you need it and how much work it ends up being. Also you will need to pay for supplies up front. Thanks ^_^
06-08-2006, 02:20 PM
Not commissioning anymore.
06-08-2006, 06:44 PM
Whoo! On one of my random visits to this board, I think I'll post ^___^
My name is Sam, and I run BeAnime.com (http://www.beanime.com). We (myself and Chris) make cosplay costumes, accessories, and some wigs & props.
So far, we have filled over 400 orders, and made over 90 different costumes & props that have been purchased by customers. We've been taking commissions since somewhere in 2003-ish. We're equipped to do everything from uniforms to custom embroidery, to plastic fabrications and some woodworking as well. We've also just started working on making accessories, clothing, and cosplay for Dollfies and other similarly-sized Asian Ball Jointed Dolls.
As a bit of a background, I am currently at the Univeristy of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, working on a BFA in Costume Production. See, all I'm going to be doing is costuming for the rest of my school life ^___^ And then beyond. Oh, and we are also a registered business, I hope that may help you feel a little bit better. Check out or customer feedback as well, and you'll see pictures and comments from our past customers. I haven't sold on eBay very much for the past few years, but you can see what we have for feedback (all positive) under taeliacstudio_cosplay
I also try to keep my gallery on Cosplay.com up to date, so you can check there for some of the costumes we've made, or you can watch me on DeviantArt to see the latest pieces (http://taeliac.deviantart.com)!
Thanks all ^________^
We're currently very limited on space, so if you would like a commission, please consider inquiring quite a while ahead of time - we can only work on one or so commission per month, because of school (we're in classes from about 9 in the morning until either 8 or 9:30 at night every day but Friday!).
Also! We are taking wig commissions at a discount, in order to get some more experience with them. Taeliac has had 3 workshops with a Broadway Wigmaster, but would like more experience with cosplay wigs, not theatre wigs. All wig commissions will be done for material, supply and shipping cost only - get these while we're offering them this cheap!
06-11-2006, 01:09 PM
After getting my work schedule in order I currently have room for 1-2 costume commissions (depending on the difficulty) and 2-3 wig commissions (depending on the difficulty). I also update my store once a week with new items as well.
06-15-2006, 03:27 PM

I do costume, prop and accessory commissions within my ability (PM to inquire.) My base of operations currently is my home, in Oviedo, Florida. I am available during most of the year, and depending on my schedule can complete costumes on a time frame when requested. Email is at SharinganRogue@gmail.com and if you wish to commission me, just send a picture of the desired costume, how long until you need it, and I will reply back with whether I can or cannot complete the request, and after that, how much the costume and supplies will cost.
07-06-2006, 12:04 PM
Currently taking costume, wig, prop commissions:
And photo enhancing, plushies, and fun stuff to boot. :3
07-09-2006, 07:16 PM
Okay, so it's time to make it final and official. I've started taking up doing commissions, primarily for swords, katanas and such. My main background in props right now stands with BLEACH, but I've got a few others in works, as well. If there's something you'd like made, please feel free to inquire with me, via PM or email firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll be glad to try to help out!
I've currently got plenty of room for that Otakon rush, too, but time's starting to run short >.<
I do costume commissions (mostly fabric-based, no heavy armor or big props). Commission availability and information changes, but whatever's on my website should be current:
Taking commissions for costumes.
Some sample costumes:
(Click the name of the costumes to see the photos)
Chii from Chobits (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v631/Cleacn/Costume%20Pic/chobits01.jpg)

Kimono of Lacus from Gundam Seed Destiny (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v631/Cleacn/Costume%20Pic/LacusKimono1.jpg)
All the pictures are original and authorized. The costumes we are selling are made by the same tailors as the ones shown on the photos.
For more costumes click here (http://stores.ebay.com/Altera-Vita).
Please read this for detailed instructions about ordering (http://cosplayshop.blogspot.com/).
Note: Currently, we only take orders for costumes that are made of fabrics. (which means, not including costumes with armor pieces or leather)
Please email to email@example.com if you have any questions.

I take wig commissions ^^ Explames of my work can be seen in my gallery, and a quick image collage here:

It's me, owner of Kakumei Workshop (http://workshop.kakumei.org)~~
I accept commissions and orders for Ragnarok Online hats/headgear through that link. For this service, I will refund commissions in full if I accept payment and the result isn't perfect. I have a very high standard set for my work, so you will only be receiving perfection from me.
I have also began accepting a limited number of costume commissions. I can also do smaller accessories and armour (foamy armour or Wonderflex), if required. I can make costumes for almost any price range, so please do not feel as though you cannot afford a commission. Inquire about a commission by emailing zerofoxie AT sisp.net with:
Character/series (reference pictures are greatly loved)
Your rough measurments (height, b-w-h)
Date costume is needed by (I need at least 1 month since I have so much going on and refuse to rush commissions :3)
Price range you are willing to pay
Any specific things you want for the costume, especially if references are scarce.
Serious inquiries only, please. Do not inquire if you cannot pay within 1-2 weeks of inquiry date--it has seriously hurt my schedule in the past.
Samples of my work:
07-26-2006, 02:16 AM
For the time being I am open to commissions.
I can style wigs. I have worked on pigtailed, high ponytailed wigs and curly wigs. You can view my commission gallery for images.
I also take commissions on costumes and embroidery. Please send links to reference when asking for price quotes.
I can also make many prop weapons. I have to have a limitation of things over 4 ft long unless I can build it to break apart as the post office does enjoy slapping huge price tags to their shipping for anything larger. I have worked with wood, paperclay, foamie and fiberglass for my personal props. I do have resin casting knowledge but not much call to use it.
Please PM me for any quotes and or requests.
07-29-2006, 12:57 PM
i take commissions too!
07-31-2006, 11:54 PM
You can view some of my past work here, at www.fabricalchemist.com
Through the month of August, I'll be taking on small/moderate comissions -- so if you need a basic costume accoutrement, drop me an email at philipe underscore gaston at lycos dot com, and I'll see what I can do ^^
08-01-2006, 08:30 AM
I take mostly weapon and accessory commisions.
I've already made these for friends:
--InuYasha/ Tetsusaiga, Sango's Hiraikotsu, Miroku's staff, Sango's and Ayame's katanas, Tokijin, IY's Prayer Beads, Sandals, Kikyou's bow
--FF7/ Cloud's Buster Sword, shoulder piece, and gloves
All weapons are made from pine or balsa (or as per Con regulations) IY's beads were made from wooden beads and sculpy. Miroku's staff was metal rings and scuply on a shaped pole.
I have pics of my personal weapons on a photobucket site at: http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/x_InuYasha_x_2006/
I accept any commissions, no matter how large but you will pay huge shipping if it's taller than 6ft. Or not in the U.S. And as a guarantee of commissions being taken, I will most likely need a down payment for materials if I don't already have the stuff to make what you request.
08-01-2006, 11:15 PM

Hey there, I'm Luna. I've been designing costumes for years and I'm currently working towards a double major in Musical Theatre Performance and Theatre Production with emphasis in costume/wig/makeup design. I'm usually glad to accept a commission, however slots fill up quickly so enquire fast. I take Money Orders, cashier's checks, and PAYPAL.
I make CATS the musical style costumes. I'm one of the top 3 CATS costumers online, and I've been making them for about 8 years. I'm usually in high demand. I've made 12+ wigs and probably 10+unitards, that doesn't even count the custom knitwear and tails :). I do custom work and cannon characters. Check out my website for examples. PM or Email me - Goldenluna87@yahoo.com
Aside from the CATS stuff I also make faerie crowns, and wigs.
Faerie Crown - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/Ms.Magistifo/DSCF1507.jpg
I also take Anime/Manga wig commissions based on skill level.
Sailor Moon wig- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/Ms.Magistifo/Sailor%20Moon%202006/DSCF1623.jpg
The odangos are NOT crooked, the wig is shown on a lopsided wig head. It's also placed on the wig head off-center. Sorry. I'll have a better shot soon.

We take the full range of commissions at Ichidan (http://www.ichidan.com) including vacuuform projects.
We're mostly a cosplay group, so our commission slots are limited, but it never hurts to ask.
The page and forums are covered with pictures of our costumes, so definitely look around, eventually, we'll have an online catalog up.
for a quick taste of some of the work we've done:

I am now taking corset commisions. I work primarily in the Renn and Colonial American styles (16th through early 18th Centuries). But I can dabble into other eras, espeacially if you have a picture/idea of what you want. All corsets are hand sewn. I do both boned and non-boned corsets. Boned corsets can be boned with either plastic boning or knotted cord.
Prices varry by cost of materials and amount of labor involved. (a.k.a. if it's boned its going to cost more)
PM me if interested.
(pics of examples coming soon)
I am now taking commissions for Gothic Lolita, Visual Kei, and Cosplay. I have somethings on sale in my LJ selling journal, GraveYard Dream (http://harajuku-hime.livejournal.com/2359.html). You can PM, email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or chat on AIM (harajukuhimeshop).

Aside from the above mentioned, I can also recreate plenty of other Naruto costumes as well as other costumes from other animes. :bigtu:

I recently started taking costume commissions, so I'm getting my site cobbled together.
I'm an award-winning cosplayer (multiple Best-In-Show awards) and junior majoring in Fashion Design. (so act now before I do this full-time and it stops being fun)
I specialize in Naruto and Bleach costumes and also enjoy making EGL dresses. I also make any wigs, shoes, accessories or props that accompany a costume and work in pleather quite well (but don't ask for armor unless it's small pieces). Since Halloween is over, I have room for a few more commissions before convention season starts up again.

Ever wanted to cosplay a member of the FMA military? Have you given up because there's no pattern to use, or because the commercial versions are cheap and terrible? Do you have the money to spend on a really good one?
I can make you one!
I specialize in making the FMA military uniform because it's complicated but tailored to fit you well. You can see it in action in the attached file and in the appropriate folders in my cosplay gallery (http://images.cosplay.com/gallery.php?member=21794&cat=500).
I love this series so much that my standards for this uniform are very high. It wouldn't be so expensive if they weren't! If you're interested, you can find more information and more pictures here (http://vesperity.org/cosplay/).

In time for the new con-season, I will be taking commissions full-time.
At this point, my schedule is wide open, so if you have any up and coming cons and need something commissioned, I'm your girl!
Right now, I am only taking costume commissions and small props. Examples of past work can be found in my gallery. My prices are fair, but also negotiable. I work on the "hourly system", so the less intricate detail work I do, the less the overall cost will be. However, if your order is a rush order, then the hourly rate will double.
The only thing left to mention is that my work studio is situated over a soap store. If you don't want your commission scented, mention that, and I will do your commission from home.
If interested, feel free to PM me. Or, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with Commission in the title.

Help a poor girl earn money for her cosplay by paying her to help you with yours!
Blasphemy Blue is making commissioned cosplay jewelry for a limited number of people due to school, but she WILL accept your order at a later date if it is possible for her to construct.
Blasphemy Blue DOES NOT do metalwork; Beading and wire construction is her specialty.
Other beaded objects (cloth purse decorated with beads, etc)
Pictures of her current work can be found in her gallery under "Cosplay Jewelry", and more photos of a higher quality will be uploaded as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in Blasphemy's cosplay quest!

I'm taking off this semester from school, so I've got quite a bit of free time for commissions. However, I won't be doing this on a regular basis. Right now, I'm only taking wig orders (I might be able to do other commissions in the near future), but not just any wigs as I'm not a professional, and I'd like to keep my sanity. I might refuse a wig if it's appears to difficult for me. I enjoy doing spikey styles. Some examples are in my gallery and I will have more soon as I'm working on a few commissions right now. I keep my prices down as much as possible; all the wigs I have done so far have been under $100 each, but will vary depending on time needed to style. I don't use cheap wigs; the wigs will come from either CosWorx or Amphigory. I do ask for 4-6 weeks in advance, but may be slightly more. I can usually have a wig done in a week or 2 after receiving it.
I can be contacted via PM or email at email@example.com

I am new to commissioning and would like to start doing it and hey you have to start somewhere.
Anyway... I will be fair when it comes to pricing because I am new to this and I just only started. I don't have a sewing machine but I still really want to take your order because I know I can do it
I can make costumes mostly and maybe some props.... just ask me first and we will discuss it.
First off I will need reference pictures of the costume then I will come up with the cost of materials for the costume. Then if you decide to get me to commission then I will make the costume, sending you progress pictures, and this way I can make any corrections needed along the way and when you receive the final picture of the finished costume and you are happy then we will discuss the payment for labor which will be reasonable.
if you are interested then you may PM me or Email me at email@example.com

Here are a few categories:

Hey everyone. I was wondering if people would be interested in commissioning me for Costumes. Right now is the perfect time to do it since I have a lot of free time, and this spring I only have one class on Wednesdays for four hours. I'm only capable of working on simple costumes, and nothing too extravagant at this time. It can be either regular anime/manga costume to EGL.
I studied Fashion Design at the Art Institute of Seattle and am now going to Seattle Central Community College for Apparel design.
I work primarily in Apparel/Clothing only. I do not do wigs or props.
Your quote will be based off of : materials(fabric, paint, notions, thread, etc.), labor(estimated time it takes me to make), and shipping- or if you're local I'm more than happy to meet you person to person for fitting and giving you the final product!
If you want a quick basic quote, please be aware that I require at least 2 months notice in advance. There is a contract that will need to be signed, and if you are under age you will need to have a parent/guardian sign. Otherwise, please go ahead and send me the picture of the character you're interested in, your height, weight, bust/waist/hip measurement and when you need it by and I'll get back to you.
If you are interested in my work (http://images.cosplay.com/gallery.php?member=44235&cat=500) and would like to commission a costume from me, please contact me either through PM or e-mail: pinqcouture(at)gmail(dot)com
Thank you for your time and consideration!
04-23-2007, 11:05 PM
Hey, it's feytaline (duh) and I wanted to let everyone know I won't be able to take commissions again for a bit. I'll repost here when I can. Thanks to everyone who has offered me one, see you in a few months!
04-24-2007, 11:05 PM
I am not taking commissions at this moment in time. I will be occasionally making things in my spare time and putting them up on an ebay account.

I'm leaving this post to direct people to the site of a partner of mine. He is currently taking comissions for the month of June, comissions for May already filled up.
Please visit the website for further information and to leave requests or questions. http://www.cosplayfactory.com/

Alright, wanna quit my part time job without losing my income, so I'm going to open myself to comissions!
10 years sewing experience, 6 in costume design and fashion design.
My prices are determined by materials needed, effort required (labor) and shipping. I give discounts for large orders and multiple items.
In addition to costumes and clothing, I also make patterns.
Until Fanimecon is over however I'll only be accepting small comissions. I'm very good with petite coats and finer details. I also make jewelry with clear cast resin.
You can contact me through a PM here, my e-mail, or through any of the links in my signature.
Reference pictures and examples of things I've made can be provided upon request.
04-27-2007, 07:38 PM
As of the moment, I have a few months free of sewing, and time to actually take on some commissions. I only take costume commissions, some wigs ((light styling, nothing extreme)), and no props.
The examples of my work can be found here::
http://animeangelblue.alle-stelle.com as well as in my cosplay.com gallery.
I tend to give multiple prices when I price a costume, depending on the fabrics, and leave the fabric choice up to the customer. A costume made out of cheaper quality fabric will definitely be cheaper than a costume made out of higher quality fabrics. However this will not change the quality of the sewing.
I have 15 years of sewing experience, starting with Renaissance, Medieval, Period clothing, and then eventually expanding into Anime/Video Game Cosplay. I will not take anything that I feel is out of my level of sewing, or a costume that I will be uncomfortable making.
I make all the patterns for my costumes, and have been practicing pattern making for about 5 years now. I have 3 different types of sewing machines, all for sewing different types of materials. I can sew through pleather/vinyl/pvc if your costume requires it, as well as sewing through the more finer materials.
I can add either hand painting techniques to your costume, or embellish as well with hand sewing, machine applique, or quilting techniques if the costume requires it.
I do have a serger, and can serge/overlock all of the seams and hems in your costume, as well as other alternative methods of hemming and finishing seams.
I mostly specialize in CLAMP based costumes, but if I'm given good reference shots, I can make almost anything. If your interested, please drop me an email or a pm, and I can explain everything a lot better there.
I can if your interested post my cosplay commission policies here, but I prefer to work one on one with my customers, or people who are interested in a commission as well. ^^
Looking forwards to hearing from people ^^

My name is Northern and I have been sewing and making dresses, costumes and anything you want out of fabric for upwards of 8 years now, and I am, once again, open for more comissions.
I can make anything from simple designs, to outlandish 18th century gowns. I have the ability to work with any fabric including leather and knitted garments. Feel free to browse my gallery here for examples of only some of my previous works.
I am also pleased to announce that my website should be open by the end of August. Please stay tuned for more updates
If you are interested in getting a costume, wig or prop made, please send me a PM with reference pictures and details on what you would want in your costume. I will work to your budget. ^.^

Hi! I am accepting commissions on EGL accessories and undergarments. This ranges from head dresses to cloth chokers to petticoats. I am NOT accepting full EGL ensembles at the moment. See something in a Gosu-Rori? Let's make it happen!
You can see some of my work in my Cosplay.com account: here (http://images.cosplay.com/gallery.php?cat=24857&member=2510) and here. (http://images.cosplay.com/gallery.php?cat=18763&member=2510)
I will also be selling premade items occasionally on Etsy.com (http://fantasticexplosion.etsy.com).
Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions or are interested!
EDIT: I am currently accepting corset commissions.
07-02-2007, 04:07 PM
I'm accepting all kinds of commissions, but feel free to PM me for more details. I don't do weapon or prop commissions, but I do alot of plush, costume and wigs ones. I don't have alot examples online, but if you are interested, I'll be happy to show you the few that I have. My prices are pretty reasonable. I give quotes per commission.
Plushies - start at $25.00
Wigs - starts at $40.00
Costumes - ask for a direct quote

I'm ready to take my first ever commission! :D
I've been sewing for a few years now, just clothes around the house. I started getting into sewing costumes last Halloween and I've really only made costumes for my daughter. Visit my sewing/cosplay blog (http://themrs.kalalism.org/) to see my costume work and for a link to my e-mail.
I am an accuracy freak and fabric snob. Fortunately for my fabric snobbishness, I live in Turkey, a country that's main export is textiles. (That means fabric is less expensive than in the States.) Boo yah.
Please please please e-mail me with any and all questions. :D

hi! I would like to try commissioning costumes. I have almost completed five so far for cosplays I'm done and will do. I'm a responsible Sophmore in college and my costumes are good-quality. To give a general scope of my rates, I can probably get a costume done in about a few weeks or less. I would charge enough for cloth, shipping, then about $5 an hour after that. If you'd like to see some of my costumes I've done I would be happy to show you some pictures. If you're interested, please respond and I will be happy to talk to you!

Yo! I am a member of FMC and I am taking commissions this summer. I have been sewing since 2003 and I'm hoping to start a commissioning business. I am new to commissioning so I won't be able to take a lot of commissions at this time, so space is limited. Some of my work can be seen in my gallery. Costumes that are worn by friends and myself I am able to re-create for you.
Things I am able to do are:
- small props/accessories
The website for the commisioning and store isn't up at the moment, but it will be shortly. If you want a quote for a costume just PM me here and put the subject as "Commission" or something along those lines. Also, please tell me your character's name and series and also attach/link some photos of the character.

Another commissioner adding herself to the fray...
Experience: Making costumes for about 6 years. Illustrator for my whole life, so in that regard, I'm detail-oriented and make things as close to perfect as possible.
Things I can do:
-Accessories (leather, beading, sculpy/paperclay, etc)
-Wigs (Difficulty: Intermediate...I can do Sora (KH) but not Medusa (Petshop of Horrors,) for example.)
-Costume pieces (Shoes, gloves, vests, other individual pieces.)
Prices: Vary depending on difficulty of the designs in question, quality of materials desired by client, intricacy of inlaid designs, etc. Examples:
-DuoLon/King of Fighters ($400 - Easy to sew costume but the dragon designs on all panels took 30+ hours over several days. Coat only, styled wig included.)
-AntiForm Sora/Kingdom Hearts II ($700 - Detail-oriented, many loose accessories, client desires the floaty/whispy tendrils and light-up-eyes mask. Styled wig included.)
COSTUME CLOTHING ONLY
-Organization XIII coat/Kingdom Hearts II ($250 standard, $300 Xemnas final form. Coat only.)
-Shinigami/Bleach ($600, includes hakama, underkimono, haori (coat,) tabi socks, and waraji sandals.)
-Iori Yagami/King of Fighters ($150, basic styling plus custom coloring since it's near impossible to find a plain red wig that isn't a party color or henna/brownish looking.)
-Sora/Kingdom Hearts II ($150, intermediate styling.)
-DuoLon/King of Fighters ($200, intermediate styling, plus accessories that go with it.)
-Ed Elric belt/Fullmetal Alchemist ($200, real leather.)
-AX badge/Trinity Blood ($30, leather backing, beveled surface.)
-Abel's shoulder armor/Trinity Blood ($150, weathered, rigid, removable.)
-Sora's shoes/Kingdom Hearts ($75/$150 depending on whether client wants regular zippers or if he/she wants 30gage zippers.)
-Hollow mask/Bleach ($100/$200, varies depending on how big/detailed the mask is.)
-Wings ($250+, depends entirely on how big they are and whether they're feather or membrane style.)
All prices are negotiable if different materials or some such are desired. Shipping not included.
PM me if you'd like to inquire about anything! ^_^ Currently, the most available slots are for smaller projects! First come first serve! PMing for info doesn't mean you have to get anything, questions just as welcome as commissions themselves XD Check my sig for linky goodness.

I am so glad there is finally a thread like this! Solo threads get lost as the pages fill up.
Strange Land Costuming has been my side business since 2000. I started out doing primarily Jedi robes and got a reputation for being the most accurate, but since then I've moved into any and all replica costuming.
www.strangelandcostumes.com is my online portfolio. It has not been updated to reflect the commissions I've completed in the past calendar year, which include items from Naruto and Bleach. My own personal portfolio is a more extensive look into my talents and abilities, because I want people to know my sewing skill and my dedication to accuracy, which extends to customers as much as it does my own personal cosplay. What I have displayed are not the only costumes I can do, I will attempt nearly anything - I don't limit myself to remaking things people have already ordered, though I do get a lot of repeat business. Four Kaiba coats, two Battlestar Galactica uniforms, and oodles of Jedi robes, for example!
I am an award-winning cosplayer, currently toeing the line between Journeyman and Master level, and won three hall cosplay ribbons at CostumeCon this year. But what really matters is that in seven years of doing costumes, over 100 of them for various customers, I have never had anything returned to me or needed to refund a customer. What I pride myself on over other commission-makers is not being the cheapest, but being the most accurate and highest quality. Unfortunately, if you're looking for a dirt-cheap costume, I'm not your man. I want you to look good in your costume, and it comes at a price.
All the information about my pricing, ordering, and other policies is at www.strangelandcostumes.com - please contact me through there if you'd like to set something up. But I entertain negotiations, queries, and pricing estimates through email and instant message. And once again, please don't think that my portfolio on the site is the "only" costumes I can make. I can make just about anything you show me pictures of, the portfolio merely reflects the costumes I have already made in the past.
Thanks for your time. I hope to get more commissions this way, if people are looking!

My name is Anna, I've been Cosplaying for 3 years. I don't have a ton of experience, I'll admit that. But my prop and dye work have never disappointed. I have had people asking me if my props where official items before.
I take commissions for small to medium sized props, mostly staffs. I'm very good with Card Captor Sakura staffs in particular, and am available to make the first season staff anytime. The second staff is something I will only do for close-personal friends though due to fragility, and difficulty. I'm also willing to do dye/paint jobs if the item that is to be dyed/painted is provided.
I no longer make full costumes. But I'll still do Obi's, and sleeves if the item is requested atleast two months in advance of the needed time.
Kakashi101's Yuna costume. Everything was done by me except the staff, earring, bikini, the top she's wearing (I made one for her, but she couldn't figure out how to put it on XD) and boots. http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto.php?photo=973707

I am blatantly advertising. LOOK AT ME.
Sick of being ripped off by Ebay? GOOD. SO AM I. Want an excellent costume that's fun to wear and looks authentic? :3 We can help! We specialize in making full costumes, including hard to find armor and accessories. Below are costumes we've made and worn to conventions! We'll make complicated costumes you can't find anywhere else! For Pricing and more information feel free to PM me!
If you do want a costume done, be sure to include your bust (around your chest), waist and hip measurements. For armor, depending on what part of your body it's on, measure from shoulder to shoulder, from your neck to the small of your back, around your wrists, upper arms, ect.
Be forewarned we don't do rushed orders. Don't order a costume three days before a convention. Order at least a week in advance. ^^ Thanks so much!

Hi I've recently decided to start taking wig commissions to gain some experience and try out new techniques.
I've been cosplaying since 2004, so that's been a couple years now. I've been styling wigs since sometime after that. I wouldn't send out anything I wouldn't personally wear myself, so you can be rest assured what you receive will be quality.
I've dyed wigs, parted wigs (see Temari in my gallery for an example) and done other basic styling. I'm confident in my skills and only ask I get 3 months notice before the date the wig is needed.
Send me a PM if interested and I can give you a quote as far as pricing goes. Thanks :P

I do custom-made costumes for peoples.
You can see my previous works at my webstie.
Any requests please contact me.I am glad to receive your emails.

NOTE: As of 5/12/08,I am closed for comissions for an indefinite amount of time due to the various stresses of life and my own big projects. Sorry guys! Whenever I do open back up, my bf will be (possibly) taking prop commissions.
Celtic Rune commissions offers:
-minor wig commissions; I'm not capable of those 'Squeenix' gravity defying styles yet. (And even if I was, those things wouldn't survive shipping too well). I also am sort of new at the whole dye job thing, but am fairly decent with simple styles and extensions.
-small costume pieces;
Need a vest? A set of cuffs? A captain/lieutenant badge (Bleach)? Celtic Rune commissions offers these and more!
Depending on the difficulty of a costume, I can do full costumes as well. (Full costumes, as I define them for commissions, do NOT come with a wig, but I'll be more than happy to include that in your quote if you ask). I have to say, though, I'm not good with hakama, so full Bleach shinigami costumes are not available.
I'm also fairly detail oriented, so you won't have to worry about me totally overlooking an important detail that you really wanted to have.
I do have a paypal.
If your piece requires body measurements, I'll be happy to help you find out how to measure yourself (whether it be for a shirt or how to size yourself for a ring, though I don't offer rings)
I do NOT currently charge extra for finding more reference pictures, however, my ability to find them is just as good as yours, and I don't have a Photoshop program to clean up pictures with..
Examples of my work are in my photo gallery; PM if you're interested, and I'll shoot you back a quote (shipping not included). I do ask that you give at least three months notice to me, since I'm still quite active in the cosplay scene and have costumes that I want to have finished to wear to a con too. ^.^ Also, I don't do rush jobs (ie. given less than two weeks notice) unless it's an extremely simple piece (such as a sync clip for an Evangelion cosplayer, or simple earrings)
Thanks for reading!
08-17-2007, 01:02 AM
I do commisions for both people and dolls. Clothing only, no props or wigs. As I both work full time and go to school full time, I don't do rush orders.
08-18-2007, 07:16 PM
Hello everyone! Another ad! lol
I do anything with hair. From dreads, to yarn falls.
I'm currently making EGL stuff as well.
No, no costumes. Sorry!

Does anyone make good stuffed animal props? I'm looking for something that can possibly sit on my shoulder. Here's an image of what I'm looking for. It's actually a character from a comic, I hope that's alright.
It's the red bird/eagle thing and the 2 sketches:

As I can get materials at a low cost, I can do costumes at approximately $60 - $90 each. Just to let you know what are the average price that I quote, a D.Gray-Man second generation uniform done in faux leather will only cost you $85!! A Organization XIII cloak will only be $80~ (Without shipping though.)
Prices obviously depend on the current exchange rate. XD
I ship internationally too. If you are interested in asking me to help you with commissions, please either drop me a PM or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Emails preferred.

Some time ago, I ran a well known and oft used cosplay commission site, Cygne Noir. I stopped activity for a while, due mostly to academic activities taking precedence over costuming, but I will now be accepting commissions again!
Here's a look at just a few of the past costumes I have done for others:
I offer competative rates - $12/hour. It may seem like a lot, but I work quickly. For instance, the Kuja and Trainer Yuna, two of my most ambitious projects, took only about 25 hours each to do, and cost only $315 and $400 respectively! I am especially proud of my ability to choose proper materials that are comfortable, easy to care for, translate well to photos, and are relevant to the character (no crush velvet Sailor Moons from me!). I have a serger and finish seams for quality purposes.
Out of the dozens of commissions I've done, I've had two complaints (that I know about XD), both of which were resolved. I respond to emails quickly and have had no customer service complaints, but a lot of praise. Any issues with fit or construction you are not happy about that can be fixed, I am happy to adjust for free if you ship it back.
I do NOT do props - no weapons of any sort - or wigs. I do however do some jewelry, shoes, and small wings, and will probably experiment with armor in the future.
If you would like a quote on a costume, please PM me these details:
-Name and series of the character
-A full body shot or two of the costume and what you need of it
-Your budget and expectations
-Your dress size
I look forward to hearing from you!

Sorry double post!
09-23-2007, 02:07 PM
Because I have to wait until next year before I can start my college (Fashion Design) I have too much free time.
That means I'm taking commissions from now on.
Right now I'm working on some Pia Carrot costumes (http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa277/cosbape/WIP/piawip.jpg).
All my costumes are made out of cotton or cotton blends, I don't like to use satin. I prefer to make costumes ranging S-M size. (sorry I don't have any experiences with plus sizes right now, but depending on the costume I'll make excuses.)
I'm really good in dresses (maid/school girl) and also Gothic Lolita dresses.
The prices vary. The basic costume from above (dress+apron) would be around 80 US $, complete (incl. gloves, chocker, headpiece and thigh high trims, batch) around 100 US $.
I love making the details as close as possible to the original. (e.g. Mikuru's zigzag trim around her sleeves, the carrots from the Pia Carrot costumes)
Anyway if you are interested, drop me a line.
My most recent commission:
School Rumble Uniform (http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa277/cosbape/Commissions/sr_cos.jpg)
Please have a look at my cos.com gallery (http://images.cosplay.com/gallery.ph...=15196&cat=500) to see more costumes I made.

I am just starting to take commissions and already have a few commissions set up. I currently have no commissions completed but hey, I just started.
Pretty much, when I am not sewing, I am on the computer talking with people about costumes. I love them and hope to be able to take a commission from you!
Thanks for even taking a peek at my web site.
I am very nicely priced for my costumes. I don't use the cheap, see through material other commissioners use (unless you want it to be super cheap). If it looks like leather, I use leather!
11-05-2007, 08:17 AM
I also do rush orders so if you wait too long and your con is comming up i can take a rush order. all props come with a money back guarantee (unless it's hight specific) and all props will be made to a quality that i would use myself
11-07-2007, 11:40 PM
I finally made a page for my Commissions.

As of right now, I'm open to take wig, costume, or accessory commissions! I may only be open until march or april, but right now I am taking them!
My website is: www.lovelyangelcosplay.com
I've made costumes for other people before including:
harry potter cloaks
devil hunter yohko
If something is too hard for me or something, I'll let you know up front that I can't take the commission with confidence. Please email me if you have anything you'd like me to make you! Misatonpenpen@aol.com

I've been thinking about this for a long time... i'm finally doing it!
I'm taking wig commissions.
Wee Ghostie Wig Commissions (http://www.freewebs.com/weeghostie)
I've been styling wigs for about a year and a half. Examples are in my gallery and on my site. My areas of expertise are in spikes and custom colors. I don't normally do odangos, but I know how to and I am willing to. In fact, the only thing I don't think I could really accept would be Shiva. XD. Prices are relatively low as I am just starting out and trying to build my reputation.
11-11-2007, 09:40 PM
I can do armor and prop commissions, but please be aware, armor can be time consuming and some-what expensive.
For examples of my previous work, please see my gallery...everything can be found there.

Im taking wig commissions. I work VERY FAST and extremely accurate. Pics in my gallery.

Hi, I'm Nekomimichan and I do small prop commissions, basically anything that can be put in the mail. I can make large swords and staffs but they would have to be picked up in person, or a really large shipping bill :crylaugh:
I can do almost anything:
-mini-top hats and crowns
-lots of fun stuff!
I try to keep my prices reasonable and I can make most small things in about a week. I can always work with your budget and provide everything from "cheapies" to professional grade props that will last and last.
I will always provide the type of materials that I will use and substitutions can be made if you have a preference. Progress pictures will always be given.
I'm not into doing clothing commissions yet because I don't have a serger and I wouldn't sell anything that wasn't properly done. I occassionally sneak into my old sewing class to use their serger but I can't do it if I'm sellling the stuff.
I accept Paypal and will ship worldwide at the buyer's expense.

PM me whenever nad I'll be happy to serve your cosplay needs

Hello! My name is Janette Lowen and I'm planning on going to school for costume/fashion design. I have been cosplaying for over 7 years and have been planning on commissioning costumes for a while and now that I'm getting older I need to find a way to make money.
-I do only costume commissions.
-I can take costume commissions any time and can finish most costumes within one-two weeks.
-I have done most of my cosplays as dollfies, turning myself in to human sized dollfies.
-I charge $5 an hour, that is less than min wage.
-I dont have a website yet (I don't really know how to set one up) But I do have an e mail you can reach me at for quotes and questions, firstname.lastname@example.org

I make anything you want. Props and simpler things are sometimes outsourced to my fellow troupe members, under my supervision. We do costumes, wig styling, props, EGL, kimono, and normal clothing. Costs vary for most things, and payment is required up-front so that materials can be purchased.

Hi! I've been making costumes for going on 11 years now, but I only commission jewelry, shoes, and weapons (mostly larger weapons like shields, keyblades, and wider swords). My weapons are made to be very light and more for smaller people who can't carry around those heavy wooden ones. I specialize in Kingdom Hearts weapons and shoes. You can view examples of my work in my cosplay gallery.
02-22-2008, 07:20 PM
Hey all, I just wanted to get the word out that I'm taking prop commissions (weapons and the like). Here are some examples of my work. I have been working with wood and plastics for about 6 years now.

Greetings, few of you might better know me as VenturertheHybrid (or Ven-Chan) @ Deviantart.com = www.venturerthehybrid.deviantart.com
I mostly specialize in video game cosplay, in both props and costumes. My best specialty is costumes for Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 7 series, Team Fortress 2, and Legend of Zelda, as well as creating original works for Steampunk, Renaissance, Pirate, or Fantasy outfits and props (yes, I can create WoW costumes, please profile front, back and side shots of your character as I will not go by description alone, not a WoW gamer myself). All I ask is no commissions for conventions sooner than 3 months away from the con date. This gives me enough time to collect materials and work on your commission, however if you were to order simple, partial designs, then we can work things out. PM me here at cosplay.com, e-mail me @ email@example.com or check me out @ Deviantart.com.

Hello Guys and Girls! I am looking into starting to do commissions since I have summer break coming up in two weeks. I am also looking to get more experience.
The costumes I get commissioned will be for shipment in the Fall however I will sew in the order I get payment for and ship as soon as it is complete. I accept paypal only at this time.
I have been sewing for over eight years and I have a lot of experience making my own costumes and some of my friends.
Things I make:
-Costumes only at this time
-I am more familiar with women’s costuming then I am men’s (only started making men’s stuff this year)
-I also only do elastic waist for pants to allow for more freedom of movement.
-I am looking into making more Akatsuki Robes and ANBU vest
Example of Akatsuki robe’s: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h300/envy_eyes/1479925-2.jpg
Costume for SALE!!!!
Haku from Naruto: worn only once and is freshly washed
I am asking $70+ shipping (I can negotiate on the item cost not shipping)
Measurements: Bust: 32” Waist: 28” Hip: can fit up to 40” and fits best for a person who is 5’3”-5’7”
What is not included: sandals and headband
The one on the left is for sale: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h300/envy_eyes/m_7714bd7682ead9c774ac84e3a7db3838.jpg

Hi, I'm looking for someone to make a untransformed Tetsusaiga with a scabbard from Inuyasha. If anyone could mke this please send me a PM on a quote. Thanks in advance.
05-07-2008, 10:28 AM
I'm new to commissioning, but not to costuming. I do wigs&props (within my skill level) and human-style costumes. The only thing I can't do right now is armor.
I charge for the materials and 20% of that total cost for labor. If you're from cosplay.com I'll drop it to 15% ^^ But please give me at least two months in advanced notice of when you need it (I'd prefer more time, but I won't take anything that is needed in less than two months)
Contact me via e-mail or deviantart, just make sure to say you're from cosplay.com

Hi! I have been cosplaying for over 6 years and am a highly experienced seamstress. I have made many wonderful costumes for myself, my friends, and many fellow cosplayers. You can find pictures of my work at http://photobucket.com/cosplaymandy
I always do my best to ensure 100% satisfaction on all my costumes (check out my comments)!! My costumes are very detailed and well made and I always use high quality fabrics. I am very experienced with many fabric types (including Lycra and synthetic leather). I am also able to get a wide range of different materials such as denim, wool, and cashmere to make my costumes more accurate. I can make just about any costume and I love a challenge. The more detailed and creative, the better!! I get a bit obsessive about projects, so it usually takes me about a month to make a costume!
I have recently partnered with a friend who makes high quality props and custom shoes professionally and I can get wigs at a discounted price, so I offer the entire cosplay package at a low price. Here is a link to our prop gallery
Please PM me or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote. Don't forget reference pictures please!!! Please also let me know the due date and what parts of the costume you need.
As far as payment is concerned, I accept paypal, money orders and checks from US banks and am always willing to work out a payment plan.

UK based cosplay prop maker
I make props for cosplay from masks to staffs to boot covers, anything that falls in to the prop catagory I will try my hand at. My prices are very reasonable, I most charge for the materials and asmall ammout for my time. If you would like to commision me for any prop work please pm me with a few links to pics of the item you'd like made and I'll get back to you with a price and an estimated time required.
I only accept paypal at the moment, you don't pay me untill after the item is complete but before posted, unless cost for the build is more than £20. Here is a link to DeviantART (http://www.mgg-thunder.deviantart.com/) account where you can find pics of my work.
I have only a few months of experiance under my belt this is reflected in the price. I effectively use craft foam, clay, foamcore, polymorph and wood to a degree. If a prop requires something I haven't used before I don't charge if extra material is required because I've messed up.
Also I have a polacy that if your not 100% happy with how an item looks you don't pay anything.

We are a group of Cosplayers who wishes to make accurate armor, weapons, and accessories props for all who wishes to complete their cosplays. Place your commission orders, requests, and suggestions in our forums to help us reach 100% satisfaction.
Many cosplayers have many problems completing their cosplay because of how difficult it is to find makers who are able to commission large props and imitation weapons with the proper amount of details and wear-ability, we pride ourselves with our strive to make each commission as accurately as possible.
No matter where you are around the world, we are willing to ship it to you wherever that may be.
We do not make any cosplay CLOTHES. We only make PROPS!
DISCLAMER: All props are for display and showcase usage only. Please do not use them for actual swordplay as they will be damaged. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I take cosplay commissions!
I can make almost any costume but prefer not to make anything with full body armor or big props. I will do my best working on your costume so it will be both good looking and durable.
I also make lolita clothing. If you have a dream design you would like made, do contact me.
To ask for a commission send me a PM here or on DeviantART (username Viveeh), and I'll answer you with the approximated cost and time I'll take, so we can decide how your costume will be made and you provide me the necessary references and measurements. I'll make the costume according to the references you have given me, so if you want any modifications, have any special suggestions or want me to use any specific materials, please let me know right away. I can send you photos of your costume during progress and once it's finished if you'd like.
Payment will be done via PayPal. I live in the EU.
More info and conditions (http://viveeh.deviantart.com/journal/37717028/)
I am poor so I would very much appreciate if you chose me to make your cosplay.

FIDM Graduate with 10 years as a cosplayer in a variety of genres is open for commissions. To state up front: With very minimal exception, costumes start at a minimum of $200. Please keep this in mind before you request a quote.
I am good at working with a variety of budgets as well as body types. In addition to working with costuming as a hobby, I have industry experience including student films and construction for Universal Studios Hollywood themepark (Halloween Horror Nights 09/10 and Grinchmas 09/10).
I can do standard cosplay replication (please have reference images available) as well as custom design. I can also do wig sculpting, some jewelry and props. Most significantly, I will never hide any limitations I have.
Please note: Good quality work is not the cheapest. I cannot compare to cookie-cutter cosplay websites that make generic costumes on a dime. Detail oriented costumes take time and therefore money, so please understand why I quote what I do. I charge less than half of industry standard for my time by the hour for commission work, but it still adds up. My quote rate is $12/hr (less than I get at the themepark, please note). Beyond that is the cost of materials, which can vary greatly depending on the garment and fabrics desired. Princess dresses run a minimum of 30 hours. To give you an idea, the clockwork dress ran 50 hours, the Renaissance Dress ran 40 hours (without the undergarments and mask), the masked sorceress took almost 100 hours (lots of hand beading), and the Tiana took 35 hours. Most significantly, though, I am more than happy to work out a payment plan. I have a full contract listing payment plans, methods of payment, and many other things necessary for the best commission process for both you and I.
When you commission with me, you get custom fitted to your garment. It is preferred that you can come in for two professional-grade fittings to assure the best looking costume possible that is made to your body. When working in the themepark, all performers come in for two fittings. I am willing to drive a reasonable distance, but will have a $.50/mile fee (both ways).
Also available as a stylist, costume designer, etc.
Finally, PLEASE PM me for a quote. You can also email me at luck AT luckinspades.com and see more of my work at http://www.luckinspades.com
Thank you so much for looking.

My wife and I have been in the prop, costume, and set design business for 6 years. We have even had our work featured in film and commercials. Rather than go on and on, check out our website www.holeinthegroundpro.com It's a big site cause we make a broad range of items. You can find tons of pics, our resumes, and other info. We accept paypal, credit card, and money orders and will gladly ship internationally. And unlike too many commissioners, we don't "disappear"! Most emails will be responded to in less than 24 hours.

I am now starting my own commission business called Harley's Creations. I will do all kinds of work from Sailor Moon-Tokyo Mew Mew, or whatever your heart desires. I don't have that much yet, but I am just starting. I have a youtube channel url: http://www.youtube.com/user/harleycreations0409
I'm on facebook under the group name Harley's Creations. The email is: email@example.com
I am trying to create my own website so, it's in a working progess. I don't have a DeviantArt page where I just started putting up somethings that I can create and sell. Here is my page url: http://harleyquinn0409.deviantart.com/
I hope to hear from everyone and check out my work. The pieces that I have on DeviantArt were my first creations so I can make them better. Thank you!
Here is the website for my new store, it's still in a working progess.

Hello. I commission wigs. I will do most spikey-style wigs, since that is what I have done the most. I do like challenges, but I may refuse certain commissions if I don't think I have the skill or if I don't have the time to make it.
Prices depend on cost of time and wig base. Shipping is $16.00. This includes the money I spend to buy a foam wig head and the box. The wig will be shipped on a wig head. Also note, that most wigs will cost anywhere from $70.00 to over $130.00. I charge about $10 an hour for styling. I also do simple things like trimming. Trimming and a little styling costs $10-15 plus base wig
I also do not do wefting for ponytails! I been getting a lot of questions about pig tailed wigs lately and because I have not done many wigs like this I will most likely refuse. I will work with an Arda wig as a base and alter it.
Here is my sales feedback: http://ryoko-and-yami.deviantart.com/journal/34946053/
And some completed commissions:
-Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy 7)- http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2931196/
-The Joker (Batman)- http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2791568/
-Sora (KH2)- http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2805362/

I am a new commissioner and am currently accepting commissions.
My cosplay.com listing is shown here and all the info can be found there:
Basic info is that I can do most basic and some complex costumes. Simply styled wigs (no large spikes or what not) and basic props. I also love to do petticoats and dresses so feel free to contact me.
Here is my gallery so you can see the few costumes I've done so far:
I currently am open into next year (expcept for september). I will update as months fill up.

i'm selling team fortress 2 pistol kits, unpainted right now, send me a PM if interested.
i'm making them from Polyester resin, and smoothcast liquid plastic.
the polyester resin kits are 25 bucks +shipping, the smoothcast ones are $30 + shipping.
i deal via paypal only.
the polyester resin ones are more fragile, and also have a shorter life to them,
the liquid plastic ones take paint easier, have less imperfections, are tougher, and just a overall higher quality.
they come with a 'how-to' guide on sanding down the casting seams and painting the prop to last.

I currently do costume, props and jewelry commissions. I have been sewing for over 10 years and have a background in art. Base price for costumes range between $100-$300 for a full outfit. However under certain circumstances I am always willing to work with customers budgets. I also make steel boned corsets as well ranging base from $100-$200.
All my works come from an animal and smoke free home.
I require at least a months notice for costumes. However I do rush orders the maximum time I will accept a commission if 2-3 weeks from an event. I ship all over and do local pick ups. If I'm attending a convention you can also pick up your costume from me during.
For more information please visit my website http://www.miss-mandah.com for more information. If you'd like to contact me you can PM me here or from my website :).
I currently will be attending NYCC/NYAF as an artist in AA this year. If you are in need of a costume for this event please contact me ASAP.

I make plushies (http://mokulen22.deviantart.com/), and am taking commissions. Anything from anime characters to cute cupcakes. Normally I sew by hand but for a cleaner finish I am willing to use the machine.
Background: I have been a cosplayer for 9 years, I work in the design field for a major retailor in canada, and I have be making plushies now for a few months (my new favourite hobby!).
Price: Price can range from 5$ to $25 dollars depending on the size and amount of materials I need to make the plushie.
Shipping: I'm willing to ship anywhere, I will need to talk to the post office about cost of shipping but plushies are not very heavy so I doubt it will cost much.

I am beginning to accept commissions. I do not yet have a site (server issues), so I'm currently operating out of http://kirkiicreations.wordpress.com/
I have over 10 years of garment sewing experience and can flat draft my own patterns. I focused on Renaissance Faire dresses for a few years, so I'm experienced in corsets and bodices of the period accurate and the RenFest-wench variety. My passion in costuming is using fabric selection and construction methods to make garments that look accurate to the source, but also believable as real clothes.
I can and am more than willing to commission normal clothes as well as costumes, and also experiment with custom resin-casting. PM or email at firstname.lastname@example.org for details and/or quotes.

I take commissions on wigs (and also some props).
I'm a perfectionist and only release work that comes as close to the original as possible. My speciality are wigs with much volume in anime/manga style. Every customer will receive a collage with photos of the finished artwork & screenshots before I send my items out.
Most important point for me is that my customers are satisfied with the result :)!!
PM me if you want to see some of my work :).

I'm currently taking commissions on costumes!
I have nine years of sewing experience and am currently majoring in Theatre Design & Technology with a focus in Costume Design at the University of Central Florida. I've been cosplaying since 2004 and have made nearly 30 costumes in that span of time. Since I haven't had time to go to conventions for the last few years, I've turned to making costumes for others, which I find even more rewarding. :>
I've been told by many customers that my prices are extremely fair, and have only had good reviews. I like to be as accommodating as possible, so if you have a certain fabric/color/etc preference or alteration you'd like, I will do my best to make that happen. Communication is also a huge deal for me during the commission process, and I always keep the customer updated with progress pictures.

I do Professional custom designer cosplay commissions.
I have been sewing for years and I normally work on movie sets. My quality is top notch and made just for you! ^_^
Unlike many places/stores who buy fabrics in bulk and re-use the same pattern for everyone, I custom make your patterns and get the fabrics just for you and dispose of the pattern later so that no one else will have a replica of yours!
I can work with you to fit your budget and get you the best quality for the best price!
DestinysEnding.com is my site!

I'm looking to get a quote for Oswald(Odin Sphere)'s psypher sword. This is for AX 2012 which is in the first week of July. Not sure if this is enough time for you and whether you have other commissions going on at the moment. I live close to Long Beach CA so I can arrange to just pick it up. If you can make the gem part glow, that would be cool.
I'm looking to spend under $120. Please let me know if this works. I will pay half upfront and the other half upon completion.

Added some things I can do to my commissioning thread (as well as made a new one and closed the old one).

I also have a section on the thread for my reviews so you can see them up to date on what others think of my work.
I'm looking for someone to make a Lancer cosplay from Fate/stay zero. I live in Ohio and would like this either by Halloween. If that's not possible then December 20th.

^^Both posted above me. Just some info here, this is a thread for people to list that are DOING commissions not wanting them. Look at the marketplace and look under commissioners for hire. PM some of those pweople as they will more then likely never see your posts here.
And since you both are new please do not post an ad there either. Just look at a thread for a commissioner that looks good and reply to that thread or PM them

Hello! Do you think you can make a Malon costume from the Legend of Zelda? & If so, how much will you charge?
Your going to want the marketplace. Not this thread. This thread is for people to say "hey I am a commissioner" you need to message someone specifically

I've had a thread up but it can't hurt to post here too.
I've recently opened myself up for knitting commissions. (http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=312411) My specialty is sweaters.
The nitty gritty details are all in my thread. I know it's a big wall of text. I just like to lay all my cards on the table upfront so that everyone knows what to expect.
I currently don't have a big cosplay related portfolio but my DeviantArt showcases many of the necessary skills to complete your cosplay, including cablework, a variety of colorwork, and that I can put together a sweater. I hope to have more pieces as time goes on. Just because I don't have it doesn't mean I can't make it. It only means the opportunity hasn't presented itself.
I also have a special running right now in exchange for the opportunity to add to my portfolio. If you approach me with a piece I've never made before, and are willing to pay for supplies and shipping, then labor is free. Although it depends entirely on your fiber choice, in most cases this won't exceed $50. But I won't be offering this for very long.
I just finished my first job and it was a total blast. :)
06-04-2013, 09:05 AM
I also have a thread open in the marketplace, but figured I best drop it here too. I spend a lot of time this winter learning (to the point that i quit WoW!) and now that I have a reasonable handle on what I'm doing, I'm going prop-crazy. I currently have 2 clubs, a staff, a spear, an FF7:CC Shuriken and 2 swords on my bench and each is moving along pretty quickly compared to my learning pieces. Doing this for myself has been a ton of fun--frustrating at times, but a blast.
I work with semi-professional materials--sintra, apoxie sculpt, wood, silicone molds, urethane resin, fiberglass. My parents are both union contract painters and drywall finishers--being picky and good finish work is in my blood, cuz I swear that's where my eye for details comes from.. I'm looking to expand my portfolio beyond Sword Art Online and Final Fantasy XI, so anything goes! Any new experiences welcome!
You can find my full info, including contact and policies, here (http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=322701), or the facebook page in my sig,

Hi! My name is Kikiyori. I've been cosplaying for 6 years now, I'm an average seamstress that can make things from scratch. I'm most known for doing Final Fantasy cosplays.
I'm a made to your liking commissioner. You pick what you wanna look like, what materials you'd like and if you have an idol, I will try to recreate the outfit your idol wore.
You can find my cosplays on Facebook. Here a few examples:
Vinyl Scratch: https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc1/1002433_10151699188534906_226903308_n.jpg
(I've also made the Noel cosplay.)
I can do small props depending on what, and my commissions usually aren't any more than $120. I will let you know what i can do and what i can't. I can redirect you to some friends who are also commissioners.
I like to do full cosplay commissions. Including wigs, contacts and shoes etc. (Costume max is 120. These are extra items.)
Payment: In 2 steps, Usually half then the next half.
I love accuracy, making sure its comfortable, and makeing sure it fits. I will redo anything if its not to your likeing, and I will try to keep you as a client, happy. Because if you're happy in the outfit, I'll be happy you liked it.
I'm very good at communication. I like to make sure everyone's on the same page. :)
Materials: As for materials, I will ask how you'd like it, and what you'd like.

I am now open for cosplay commissions! I do not do props nor wigs, but I do sew. I have been sewing since 2006. I had an etsy shop since 2010 (with a 100% feedback).
To find out more about my services:
09-13-2013, 07:29 PM
Hello, and thank you for viewing my commissions page! My name is Caitlin, also known as Adaria. I have been sewing for over ten years and I am professionally trained as a costume designer and costume craftswoman from High Point University. I graduated in December 2012 with my degree in Technical Theatre and since then have run my own business, Adaria Designs, (http://www.etsy.com/shop/AdariaDesigns?ref=si_shop) through Etsy starting in early May. Prior to, I designed costumes for our local theatre companies! I am very proud of my work and always looking forward to new challenges proposed to me by my wonderful clients.
You can also find my work as posted on tumblr. I am the SassyxStitcher (http://sassyxstitcher.tumblr.com/). The images I post on tumblr are often only of my completed costumes, with very little information on the costume itself. Though I am always happy to answer any questions about my construction process and assist new cosplayers in any way I can! If you want to see in-progress photos of costumes I have worked on in the past, or follow me while I work on yours, I have a more casual Facebook! (https://www.facebook.com/designs.by.adaria) Finally, you can also view my costume and makeup (http://caitlinmargolien.wix.com/costumeproduction) portfolio or costume design (http://caitlinmargolien.wix.com/costumedesign) portfolio!
Now, onto information about my work itself...
What To Include When Contacting Me For A Quote
Know that I will most likely not be able to give a quote on the initial email, as I ask questions (see below) to get an accurate read on just how long it is going to take me to complete your commission.
Due Date; I want to know when you need this costume by. Please be aware that while I request at least a six-week advance notice, I do NOT take rush orders and, most likely, my schedule is booked. It is best to make the request WELL IN ADVANCE of your convention, party, photoshoot. I have lost more customers because they're making requests for Halloween costumes five weeks before they need the costume by, and I already have others lined up with payments in hand and committed due dates.
Budget; What are you willing to spend on this costume? Be realistic with yourself, and consider your financial situation. I will do all I can to make you the costume of your dreams, but please realize this is not a cheap hobby and if you want it done cheaply, I am sadly not the commissioner for you. I cannot make an Anastasia Ballgown for $300 with the way materials cost and the time it takes me to build the perfect pattern to your measurements and then build the final costume. I am fast, but I cannot beat the clock.
The Character/Costume/Wig; Please tell me the name of the character and what they are from. I need this information for my personal records, whether we go forward with a contract of business or not. I also need this in case I want to look up more images of the character and do research beyond that which you send me--which is always.
Character Variation; While your pictures will help me understand what you're looking for, there are in some characters minute details that come with different variations! If you want to be Rogue from X-Men, please do your research and inform me of which version/timeline/universe/publication year you would like. "I would like a Rogue from X-Men" will result in my asking, "which Rogue?"
Images; Always send images. The more photos you have of the character from any and all angles possible, the better I can serve you. The chances are, despite my vast knowledge of anime, manga, and video games, I don't know who you're requesting, so I can't say, "oh well I know she has a cross on the back of her shirt, it just hides underneath her hair." You need to tell me, or show me in photos, if that is a part of the costume you want. If I don't see it, it doesn't get made.
What You Want/Need Made; You want to be Sailor Moon? Oh, but you only want her shiny Super Sailor Moon wings? Check. You want to be Miku, but you only need her shirt? Got it. You want a costume of Lilith and need everything from vest to chaps and the pants underneath? Can do. Tell me what you need!
Additional Information; Anything you find important that I need to know. I think some things to keep in mind, but are not necessary, are your size, if you're crossplaying/gender, any kind of disability or situation you are in which would require an alteration of the costume, etc.
What To Expect When Emailing Me
I like to get all of the details up front, before I begin working, and so when you send me a request, I will reply as quickly as I can with a list of questions that come to mind while I do a bit of research on the costume. It is likely you will get "a book" in response, as I am very thorough, so please keep this in mind when you're contacting me. I am not a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants commissioner. I want to know every detail, every stitch you want me to put into your costume. It is yours and I am merely the hand crafting it. Now, I realize not everyone knows or understands the process of sewing and creating clothing, which is also why I ask so many questions. We don't always think about the construction process, especially if we do not know where to begin or what that entails. I will work out with you everything down to how you will get into the costume, if it's complicated. At the time of writing this, I am in contract with a client looking for a ballgown, which will consist of a corset, crinoline, and the dress itself which will come in two parts. We have discussed how she'll dress underneath, how she'll put the costume on, and how she will move in it--and she doesn't even have the costume yet.
I want you, my client, to know exactly what is happening as if you were making this for yourself. I wouldn't have it any other way, either.
The following information is a basic layout of how I go about quoting and pricing commissions:
I currently charge between $12/hr and $15/hr. Labor hours are estimated and includes travel and shopping for materials, and the build of the costume. The cost per hour itself depends on the difficulty of the costume.
I request a $50 non-refundable scheduling fee, which holds your place on my schedule. This $50 will go toward my labor (about 4 hours worth, which covers my time in research and shopping), but will not be returned to you should you have to cancel. (It is unfortunate I have to ask for a holding fee, and say these things, but I have been canceled on and as such have had to take measures not to lose money.)
You are responsible for the payment of all materials; fabric, thread, etc. If, for example, I make an estimate of needing $100 in materials, and only spend $80, the remaining $20 will be put toward my labor, and you will have to pay less in the end!
You are responsible for the payment of shipping and handling. Normally, this cost is about $20, depending on where in the USA you live. If you live outside of the USA, that will obviously reflect in the cost of shipping. The estimated $20 also covers the box, which I have to purchase on the day of shipping, as I do not have boxes on hand. It also covers shipping insurance, for if in case the post office loses the package in the mail, we will be refunded.
There is a 2.9% transaction fee that Paypal charges to be used, which I also require my clients to pay. When I send an invoice to request money, it will include whatever that percentage is.
Finally, I require the payment for materials quoted plus half of my labor estimation to be paid up front. If I estimate $100 in materials and 20 hours in labor, I will request $227 (includes transaction fee). Likewise with the non-refundable fee, this is largely required now due to my having lost money in the past on canceled sales midway in production. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your $50 holding fee will come out of your final payment, so rather than say paying for a full 10 hours, you would only pay six! Know that I am a flexible person, and if you request a costume that is going to take 100 hours, and cannot pay for 50 hours up front (because that is a lot!) I fully understand and I am happy to work out something else with you that is in your price range.
The following are images of some of my recent cosplay work. You can see more at my above tumblr or Facebook, as well as at my theatrical portfolio.

I'm Haruchii, been cosplaying for around 5 years and sewing for over 10. This past year I worked with a professional costumer (http://susandicks.com/, absolutely fabulous lady to work with and every customer's dream). Some of the work we did can be seen in the second season of the TV show 'Copper'.
I can do sewing-only projects, as I have never touched props or armour and do not like to disappoint. I am a stickler for costume accuracy, and I will communicate and work with you until you are 100% satisfied.
Finally, my rates are quite low, because:
a) I am just starting commissions
b) I sew because I love to, not to get paid.
If you want something commissioned, please contact me via PM or at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
Character Name and Series/Film
Measurements - bust, waist, hips

Hi I am unique creator. I have more than 20 years experience in designing and sewing Outfits. I love what I do and I am easy to work with. You can see some of my work on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/reba.collections
This is how I work: I require half of the full amount quoted for the pieces you wish commissioned in order to start the project. The balance of the amount is due at the end of the project, along with the shipping fee. The balance can be paid in full at the end of the project or by installments up to the point of paying off the full amount at the end of the project. When the project has been finished, I will email you final pictures and the balance and the shipping fee is due then. Once I receive the funds, I will mail out the outfit, accessories or props commissioned.
I need the following information:
Location being sent to
Details about the project
The Price quoted includes materials, workmanship, Paypal fees, etc.
Once you have sent me the half of the full amount deposit, then I set aside a space within my schedule for your project. That first half deposit is not refundable because this amount will go automatically goes towards materials and other starting fees.
I like to discuss the entire project in details before starting because once the pattern work has started, no major changes are allowed.
I normally email you pictures once the pieces look decent, almost finished or finished. This is because I have had the experience of showing work in progress and the customer not understanding work in progress process and therefore, slows me down, delays the work and then I have to rush at the end to still meet the deadline.
I am here to answer your questions, keep communication and make the commission process as easy as possible.
I hope to be able to help you with your next Cosplay Outfit, Accessories or Props.
Just PM me or email me at: email@example.com

I'm wonderin if she could... possible not send me anything else anymore and claimed that she sent everything to me?
It 's too late for me to open any case now :( I wont be able to get any refunds..

You should make this question it's own thread.
I truly don't mean to sound unhelpful. On the contrary you'll probably get more help that way. Some people who could offer you advice may be hesitant to do so here because it would derail this thread's intended purpose.

Hi! My name is Jon, or if you prefer, BL. Almost a year ago now, I began work on my very first homemade cosplay, as I felt that the mass-produced costumes for the character I wanted to portray were not as accurate to the source material as I wanted. I strive for near-100% accuracy in my cosplays.
So, I bought a sewing machine, came to this site and the rest was history. I managed to get my outfit ready just in time for ConnectiCon '13, and have since dabbled into props and toddler size costumes, and now that I'm in need of more funds, I've decided to try my hand at taking costume commissions. Check out my new Deviantart page with photos of my work here: jsecosplay.deviantart.com
Disclaimer: I am not an expert, so there may be minor flaws in the final product. Also, I'm no otaku. I don't watch any anime outside of ones I watched weekend mornings. I'm more of a superhero/video game fan. That being said, I reserve the right to deny commission requests due to a lack of knowledge of the source material and character/item in question.
If you would like a costume or prop, feel free to PM me your request, and if it's a costume, your sizes and material specifications, and I'll give you a quote accordingly. Keep in mind, the more expensive the materials, the more it'll cost. I require at least half of the estimate for the project up front, and work on your product will begin right away. Quotes in include material, paypal and shipping costs.
I'll be updating my page with more pictures of my work as it's completed. Be sure to share my page with your friends! Thank you for your time. I look forward to your potential business! :)

Hello! I've been cosplaying since 2001 but sewing since 1990 (I was 8, and needed a hair scrunchie to match every outfit...80's kids would understand). In the past 13 years I've made costumes for myself, my husband and friends from a huge variety of sources. I take a lot of pride in my craftsmanship, and have won several awards for craftsmanship at Otakon, Katsucon, and other east coast conventions. I'm currently open for wig, costume and accessory commissions. My full gallery is here (http://www.acparadise.com/acp/display.php?a=225), and here (http://www.acparadise.com/ace/display.php?a=70381) (my husband, I've made his costumes & styled wigs for years).
To request a commission quote please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org with:
- Character reference images
- Items requested (whole costume, wig, jewelry, pieces of costume, etc.)
- General measurements (Bust / Waist / Hips & Height) in inches (for costumes, not wigs!)
- Preferences & notes (fabric preferences, changes to costume design, etc.)
I'm open to all requests, but I'm not terribly experienced in full spandex outfits or full suits of armor. I love gijinkas, genderswapping, lolitas and other variations on characters.
My full policies can be found here (https://www.facebook.com/notes/level-up-cosplay/commissions-are-open/464873803630569), but in a nutshell it's paypal only, 50% or at least $50 upfront, payment plans welcome for large jobs. Currently I'm booking for May deadlines and later.
I'm happy to arrange fittings, I live in the NYC tri-state area and will be attending several east coast conventions this year.

Hello there. I have been cosplaying for the past 2 years now but making random crafts for 10+ years and more into the wood side of things these last 2 years.I am here to offer my skills as a prop and accessory commissioner. While wood is my main thing i do make props and such from various other materials such as fabric cardboard wire paper mache etc. I can make your props in a reasonable time and at very reasonable prices. Simply message me your commission needs along with reference pictures and measurements along with any other materials/info you think i might need. Yes i can research your commission for you and that will simply add a small amount of time to the completion as i feel if i research it i will have to check with my customers to make sure what i have found is 100% to their likings. Yes I am a new face here but i am diligent and hard working with a military back ground to boot. All i can say is give me a try and i promise you will not leave dissatisfied.
