View Full Version : Fashion Show......

I was browsing through some of the threads in J-rock/j-pop.. and I have never cosplayed at a j-rock/ j-pop person or group.. But I give mad respect to people that do. Some of the costumes are just great and it looks complicated and people seem dedicated to it.

I was thinking.. wouldn't it be great to have like a j-rock/j-pop fashion show as one of the panels at a con.. You could do your own designs or replicas from the bands or groups. It could be a opportunity to show off your work.

I know there is the masquerade but I talking about exclusive to j-rock/j-pop.

Watcha think?

what con you thinking of? AX has got just that - both of real j-rock cosplays as a mini-masquerade and now this year a design-a-lolita contest.

I wish ACen had one tho. Maybe I'll make up one there...for the whole eight or so of us that'll probably be there. X_x (We need more j-rockers in the midwest....)

Yea I was thinking more of the east coast since I probably won't make it out to AX. I saw alot at Katsucon, but because Duel Jewel was there.. I also saw some at Neko last year too.. But I was thinking of maybe contacting someone at Animazement since that is the next con I'm going too. But I can't remember j-rockers or j-poppers at AZ.... but it would be cool though.

Oi, I wish there was one of those at the East coast cons. Preferably, those in New York ^.^

I'd love for there to be a J-rock show for Animazement. I dressed as Hisashi last year, though it was a very simple outfit. There aren't that many who go in J-rock cosplay, but I bet if there was a feature dedicated to them, more would!

Sweet! Only problem is.. I don't know much about J-rock. I have listened to some of the music but not much. I need to attend to a j-rock class. I will also put up a thread in the Animazement section to see if anyone attending Animazement would be interested in this. Then I will see what I can do about obtaining panel space.

It'd be great to have one on the east coast! Though I don't think I'll be able to attend animazement this year --;;. If j-rock masq's start getting popular maybe there'll end up being one at the larger cons. ^^ That'd be cool.
