Cons are almost always 3 days long. They start fridays and go until sunday. Some cons also have things on thursday night (usually just badge pick-up), so technically some are 4 days. But the main events are friday-sunday.

You can get specific info about the con here: http://www.animemidatlantic.com/

About arriving in costume or not. Most people, if they have hotel rooms will come and change into their costume when they get some things unpacked and into their room at all. However, if you're driving, you generally come in costume (assuming the costume permits this). Or you probably could change into it in a bathroom at the hotel or in a friend's room if you know anyone...But it's not like there's some sort of specific thing everyone does...you can wear the costume whenever

Don't worry. I'm sure it was just an assumption based on your user pic. It happens all the time. Not sure if it's a picture of you, but if so you have very nice eyebrows *grins*

To answer one of your questions, I'm sure there will be air conditioning. It's going to be hot in Richmond by then.

He's bishie! XD

But yeah. Check out that website. Everything you need to know is there. And it doesn't hurt to google things once in a while, either! :) You might want to preregister, though... but only if you can overnight it because prereg ends at the end of this month. If you can't, you'll be waiting on line at the con to register and trust me, that's no fun. This con unfortunately does not have online registration, so you have to print out a thing, fill it out, and send them a check or money order. Like I said, do this if you can, and overnight it, because it's worth it to not have to wait in the reg line when everyone else is having fun!

If he cant necessarily overnight it, on the site it says it just needs to be postmarked May 30 no later. No mail on Memorial Day anyway. But he should be okay..Ive had friends to mail it out on THE deadline day and it still went through. Goodluck if you plan to pre reg.

The only overnighting you can do is with the post office (it's a P.O. Box address), and it wouldn't be worth the trouble because Tuesday is the last day to mail. As long as it is *postmarked* (meaning you got it to the post office early enough in the day for it to be metered and mailed off) with Tuesday's date, you're good to go, even if it doesn't actually arrive for a few days.
