Is it okay to post these? They're not anime-related, but I think they turned out really cool. They're pictures of icicles that formed outside of my apartment the other week.
These make good wallpaper too. If you'd like the high-res sizes for wallpaper or whatever, let me know.

Wow, those are beautiful.
You have an excellent camera to get such detail close up :)

The camera is a 4 megapixel Canon G2 digital camera. The pictures were shot in macro focusing mode, which is why there's an extremely short depth of focus.
I didn't compose the shots at all, I just randomly took about 30 shots of the icicles and picked the ones that turned out nice. From there, I played with the colors a bit in Photoshop. I'll give most of the credit to Mother Nature. ^_^

Thanks Tsuki! Right now I have 3 of them online in a larger size... I'll put the rest up soon. These are 1200 pixels wide- you might have to give them a quick resize in Photoshop or whatever to match your exact desktop. ^^;;

My goodness. I wish I lived somewhere where I could see stuff like that. ^_^;
Those are gorgeous, John. I especially like the ice covered tree branches. :o

Personally I've seen much better.. I think you're zoomed it too far.. and don't show enough detail :) ahh you used a digital camera.. they suck for photography.. yeah I have a canon too.. :) You should play around in photoshop with the levels to finetune your pictures.. I do all the time.. :) You want to have a balance of black and white usually
