CNAnime is held at the Metro Convention Center, which is attatched to a hotel...usually the website has the hotel information. There is also the Sheraton Hotel, not far away.

There's also the Strathcona, which is pretty good considering Anime All Night takes place in its bar/basement.

Strathcona! yes, that is the one attatched to the convention center, I keep forgetting its name. Hmm, maybe this year Ill actually stay at the hotel...but I only live 10 minutes away *cries*

I'm thinking that the Intercontinental is the one attached, since on the site its prices are about $50 more than the Strathcona, and that's WITH the CNA discount :S

The Strathcona is about a block away, and althought it's not affiliated with the con, the Holiday Inn is only a couple of blocks (we stayed there last year).

The general area contains a TON of hotels. It's the area all the tourists are. Probably around 20 within walking distance at least.

ah, thanks so much. But, if anything, I'd want to stay in a closer hotel to the con so im not getting lost walking around downtown XD - never been to downtown toronto before-
and so I feel safer XD

Although, I have checked the site...from what I see, it hasn't been updated yet for cnanime 2006, except for the date...

But very expensive. Either way, I know I'm staying at the interContinental this year. Hells yeah.

I highly recommend the Strathcona for the convention discount :)

If people need a guide around Downtown Toronto, I will be happy to drive people to the places they need to go, for lunches and different places. I am very familier with the area, as I live no more then 10 minutes away.

I will be cosplaying as Krad for the most part. Drop me a line if your interested or have some questions.

The Intercontinental is VERY nice, even though the Strathcona is cheaper by 40 bucks I think we'll be staying at the Interconti because it's so pretty and fanciful.

I have a metropass, so I don't mind taking the subway or a 20 minute walk to a farther hotel.

I'm looking at hotels near Chinatown (muwhahha near my pocky fix) like Central Hotel, or The GRange Hotel. (looking at possible $40-$95 per night)

For those who don't mind the walk, there's also the MEtropolitan Hotel, and the Radisson on Queens Quay by harborfront

But from the rate researching I've done. STrathcona is definitely a good value in terms of proximity relative to price (that's not including a discount, even though I can't seem to figure out how caluclating discount works).

Ive been going to CNanime for about two years now, and the Strathcona so far has provided a good service.

The only thing I recommend is to reserve your room asap :P They fill up more quickly as the date approaches.
