I'm just wondering if there are any DW cosplayers out there (I know there are, just not sure if they're on cosplay.com). 8D

I've considered doing a Tom Baker cosplay and have seen someone do Tom at Acen every year.

There was also someone who had a R/C K9 at a-kon last weekend.

Seriously, it'd be a lot of knitting. Don't really know any other way to do it.

I was costumed as a member of the High Council with friends for the Dr Who anniversary several years ago. I also made a quick Omega costume for a one day con.

A few friends of mine have made daleks. Here is the latest one by Wookiemart.

I'll upload a few more pictures when I have a moment. Honestly I didn't think many people here would be interested in non anime costumes.

I uploaded a few older pictures in my gallery. I might upload more if I have the time to scan them. Old and sad stuff, but should be good for a chucke.

Well I attempted to make a Dalek last sumer and had great fun with the process. The result was however not quite to scale, I had to respect door widths and the fact that I'm 6'-4'' two issues that don't really factor in when working on a soundstage. Great fun nonetheless and the Masquerade at SFX last year was one great success. I deffinitly want to rework him and the new Cybermen are totally on my to do list but sadly 2006 is a bad year for me to attempt costumes (stupid dentists). I guess i'll have to Ninja :japan:

I'm really starting to love Dr Who, especially the new one, myself. I was thinking about trying to make a costume, but there aren't a lot of "larger" characters in the new Dr Who except the Slitheen(sp?), and that would be a VERY difficult costume.

If you go through dragon con's picture pages theres a dalek there. Its remote controled. Though they now have a smaller and cheaper version of the dalek, that is RC and really nifty....

Personally I want to make a tardis. then I can have lots of fun with that, even have bad wolf painted on it.

for a DR Who cosplay...Cybermen defenetly, that would be cool, expecially the new series's incarnation of them (I watched a documentary saying how they were made, the bodysuits and helmets are made mostly from the same material as a kigurumi mask :p)

I'm on the quest to construct every single variation of the 4th Doctor's scarf. Some advice: knitting machines are VERY handy.

There was a K-9 at A-Kon 17 ... and the theme for A-Kon 18 is Giant Robots attack ... hrrrrrm. Perhaps I can fit a Dalek into my plans for the convention. I have almost a year to work on it! XD

There's a great yahoo group for DW costumers called Prydon Academy. Very friendly people, mostly from the southeast, they usually march in the DragonCon parade each year.

Just finished watching series 2 last weekend with a bunch of friends and we remarked that it would be very cool to get a bunch of people together to cosplay the 2006 Cybermen for the infamous Madison Halloween (http://www.madison.com/post/halloween/). A whole row of Cybermen marching up State Street toward the state capitol... Yessss.....

And then we realized that none of us had the skill to make a Cyberman costume... rats. Oh yeah, and the whole fear of tear gas thing kinda put another damper on it...

I myself had a go at doing a test run of The Tenth Doctor just yesterday n_n I'll need to sort out my hair though, its a bit long. Bearing in mind it WAS only a test and my Sonic Screwdriver is .. nothing short of something that reminded me of a Sonic Screwdriver and got me testing this out! xD

This is inspiring me to work up an easy 10th costume for otakon. It wouldn't be completely whole hearted, since I'm already working on a shinra mp cloud costume, but the way I see it, without a wig, I fulfill the 10th's desire to be a ginger!

I was thinking of going as the 10th doctor, cause Rose would be easier...but it'd make no sense without a doctor or a TARDIS. so I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a sonic screwdriver...? or how i could make one?

and also...I'm a girl, and my hair isn't quite short enough and I was wondering if I could manage his look.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Actually, you can buy the sonic screwdriver through the BBC America website for about $12. I haven't gotten around to buying one myself just yet (being unemployed puts a damper on shopping...), but a couple of my friends have one and they're pretty nice. They make the sounds and everything.

And now, having just seen the finale of series 3, I really want to find a way to do a Face of Boe costume. Good lord, that episode blew my mind! RTD has actually found a way to use the narrative form as a weapon of b!#*%-slapping!

And I still want one of those pocket-watches. I may have to learn how to etch metal...

For his 10th doctor costume, my friend bought a sonic screwdriver pen off Thinkgeek. It flashes and makes the sound effect, as well as being a UV light and pen!

Ishino
07-26-2007, 12:08 PM
I got one recently, if I were you I'd get one of those ones that come with the psychic paper wallet. Either look in a toystore, or ebay or summat.
a) it comes with psychic paper, necessary for a fully-kitted Ten
b) the screwdriver was made using the exact same mould as the props used in the series, so it's extremely accurate.

Lucifer
07-26-2007, 04:55 PM
Like the above indicate, its a mass produced toy that comes with a UV light attachment (and pen as well), with light up features and sound effects. I purchased mine off of ebay.

There are also two types, one for the 9th Doctor (a tan handle) and the 10th Doctor (silver handle). I had no idea there was a variation until I saw my boyfriend's was different than my own (yes, we both have sonic screwdrivers).

Soon they will release the laser screwdriver, which is the Masters.

Hello. I'm new to the whole cosplay scene. Sorry for what will amount to a few ultra newb questions, but... As it turns out, I have absolutely NO skill in tailoring, sewing, or even general creativity. I am however, interested in the 10th doctor's blue suit/ coat. I've searched online to purchase one, and found 2 options. The first is a legitimate tailor who I'm sure will do an imaculate job, but at a high price. I've also found an ebay listing from honestdragonchina for the suit and coat (80% cashmere/20% wool) for a decent price. Has anyone ever worked with this particular group, or seen any of their work at any cons? Any info or even suggestions as to what to do/ where to go from here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks =)

Hi there! I just finished my 10th Doctor cosplay and I used honestdragonchina. They did a great job with mine and was worth the price. They used great materials and it got here fast. The only problem I had was that it was a little big when I got it, but I just took it to a seamstress to have fitted to me, which wasn't a problem at all.

Hope that helps.

Ooooo I just stumbled across this thread - it's great to see Doctor Who getting cosplay love! I'm going to be at London Expo and will be cosplaying a Weeping Angel ("Blink"). My friend ought to be coming as one of the Host Angels (Voyage of the Damned).

Should be fun if we can pull it off heehee.

OMG! I can't wait to see pictures of that!

I'm doing 1940s Captain Jack from The Doctor Dances for the vampire ball at Polaris this year (also a Torchwood Jack for the rest of the con). It is quite exciting, while the costume is simple enough, the details will take a lot of work.

Friend of mine is doing Rose and eventually Four. One of these days I will shave my head again and then I'll do Nine as it grows in :D

Oh, I have done a crossover: Where I was a TRANSFORMER/TARDIS http://www.cosplay.com/costume/12462/ From a short story. Where the 6th Doctor was the head of the robot. Because the BBC writer's guide said that the TARDIS could not become alive. I wore it for the masquerade for L.A.CONIII and won best inclass. I am making a new one that will transform. I also showed this to Colin Baker, who signed a poster I made of this....

I also made my own police box. http://www.cosplay.com/photo/370523/ Four sides, and collapsible.

I will have to repost me, in my P Davison and C. Baker outfits.

Plus I also met two other costumers (Before the word "cosplay" was coined.) A Leela: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/237818/ And a living T Baker Scarf: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/240544/

I was also in a fan video where they made a wonderful Dalek, and Davros. For a fan video called: "THOSE DARN DALEKS" And while before that, they made a fan vid called: "THE ZOMBIE LEGION." With Cicelle of Ditloss as the main villain. And there were also Sontarans and K9. (Plus there was a huge commotion between the guy who wrote it and the guys who produced it.)

And the same friend made a tettrap and Seadevil outfit. I am trying to get pictures.

And I will have to repost my pictures with Colin Baker, John Levene and Nicholas Courtney.

Plus, I tried doing my own fanvid, and also tried making the Bridge to the Original Enterprise.

I want to do both a Captain Jack and a Tenth Doctor cosplay eventually. I've found a place to get a RAF overcoat from (Captain Jack) so that's good, but I was wondering what sort of places people have gotten their Doctor coats from? Not specific shops, but the kinds of shops. Thanks!

some simple ideas that I have to bring in background characters and other fans into your doctor who photo shoot.

Sara Jane adventures, pass out orange soda to fan girls and boys so they can be in the shoot saying "drink, drink" (better if you can print new lable for bubble pop)

gas mask on random people. "are you my mommy" this is fun and creepy.

I've seen that before and it is indeed very creepy. Don't forget the scar on the hand!

A *great* idea I saw at Gallifrey was this dude who'd made a latex piece of a zipper on his forehead. Simple, but completely awesome.

Hey! I love Doctor Who...

In fact I need help. I was at the London Expo last week with some friends (The TARDIS TEAM). I was filling a couple of places but kinda felt like the 3rd wheel cos they already had a Jack and a 10th Doctor (My two costumes). Is anyone here interested in teaming up for the London EXPO in october? I'm willing to play either the doctor or jack harkness but i'm in desperate need of either a Rose/Martha/Gwen... Anyone up for it?

Yay, Dr. Who!

I've only recently become obsessed with the show, and I'm sorely tempted to make one of the Cybilene priestessess/soothsayers/sisters from "The Fires of Pompeii", and/or the Tenth Doctor. I know i'm hoping to have the Priestess done for Costume Con next year--not sure when I'll make Ten. I think there's a Dr. Who group that'll be at Otakon--if I have time, maybe I'll make Christmas Invasion Ten. (Where he's in his PJs the whole episode)

I would highly suggest taking a day to hit your nearby thrift stores. I had recently stopped by mine and found the perfect coat for my Ten for $28! Perfect legnth, slit in the tail, everything. And its a couple hundred dollar coat in perfect condition. What a find!! Just keep an eye open. Never know where you could spot something to add to the cosplay. As much as I adored Donna in the beginning, I love her to the ends of the Earth at the end, so my first Donna cosplay (aside from Partners in Crime, which I already have in my closet) HAS HAS HAS to be The Stolen Earth//Journey's End. hey there Who cosplayers :)

i recently fell in love with Doctor Who (a bit late, i know. but i dont get BBC so i didnt know about it until a rerun on the SciFi channel). anyways, i hope to in the future cosplay as the 10th doctor. my question is probably more for the 10th doctor cosplayers, but,

how hard was it to make your suits? is it easier/cheaper to just buy one off of eBay, or will sewing my own be the better choice? i'm a stickler for details, so i thought that making it myself would be the better choice, but i dont know how hard it will be to find the right material, sew something complicated like a suit, and basicly do all that fun stuff.

so, any input?

That is awesome!! :) Do you know who those in your group will be cosplaying as yet?

My god...why have I never been here before!!!
Hello!! *waves*
Everyones Who costumes look so awesome that I have been snooping through thus far ^__^
and X-mas special!! *squees*
and the Children in Need Special is sooooo SOON! Who's excited!!?? *raises hand*

I've cosplayed Ten so far, in his blue wt. red pinstripe suit cause I happened to fall across the fabirc. blue's a bit to dark but it had red pinstripes so I wasn't complaining.
BLUE SUIT! (http://www.cosplay.com/gallery/128049/)

Currently I'm knitting the 4th doctor's season 16 scarf and his season 18 scarf cause they are <3 and who wouldn't want a 20 foot long scarf!?

Plan on doing brown suit and PJ's ten in the future (and getting a better wig now that I can style wigs better >.<) and I want to do at the least Romana II's pink Doctor outfit X3

And just cause I know this coat seems to be runing lives, Urban behaviour does have a blue coat the exact color and close to the same cut as Rose's in Journey's End. Its not leather but its fairly close.
Blue Coat! (bad pic. sorry) (http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj168/rplarpstuffs/rose.jpg)
so. hope that helps some people cause I had been looking on e-bay for months but never found anything so I was sqqueeeing in the store over this thing (and its only $40CDN)

Cubed--AH! Well, keeping in mind that they filmed that before Tennant announced his decision, I think that may not be the 11th, or even 12th. (Hell, it may not actually be the Doctor at all, if past episodes have warpedmy mind at all), so I don't think that's their final choice. Hell, with how the other Doctor recognized him (or rather didn't), this may be a younger version of one of the earlier Doctors, like Hartnell or something. I dunno, I think, if I shifted bodies like that, I'd remember if I looked a certain way and then ran into that self again. But that's me.

Also--WHY DO THEY TEASE US?

I don't have a close up picture of my wig, but I used both black and brown sharpies, the black closer to the scalp and the brown a second layer extending a tad past the black.
Also, it looks infinitely better if you do it to the entire skin top, rather than just the part (which is what I did originally and it just didn't look right).

If you are going where I think you are then it would more be your personal theories. Spoilers are confirmed ideas or plots that are of future shows or specials.

Hitori

@ Cubed Link- I didnt mean theories (though I would be happy to discuss in other venues, IM or LJ), I meant from a costuming/photo point.

Such as depicting a certain scene, like a death or regeneration or what have you. When is it not considered a spoiler and okay to post that picture?

kenshin-chan64
12-09-2008, 01:33 AM
well Hitori, considering that all 4 recent seasons are now on DVD (or at least almost out, i dont quite know if season 4 is officially out or not, i "legally downloaded" all my episodes), i would say go for it. you dont have to put off doing a costume or something just because some people are behind on episodes.

general rule of thumb, if it hasn't been legally shown in your country yet, give a spoiler warning. if the episode of said scene has aired or the book is currently on book shelves, then no need for a warning.
(ie. onemanga.com has FMA up to like, chapter 50-something, yet my local B&N doesn't have said book up to said chapter yet. so if i were to do a photo shoot of say...Kakashi's supposed death...then i would put up a big spoiler warning.)

Ah - In that case then all is fair at this point. With all Seasons aired and on DVD and has been for a bit, then its up to everyone else to stay away from the knowledge.
For example if you wanted to do Jenni or a Hath (which would be cool to see, lol) then more power to you. The episode is months old and should be fair game now. But then lets say you wanted to do what a friend of mine was thinking and do David Morrissey's "character" from 'The Next Doctor' then you might want to put spoiler tags on that since it hasnt come out yet.

RE- Theories: Tho if you did want to discuss stuff I am all up for that as well. Let me know and I can get you my contact info.

@Thegirlinred93 - You would make a beautiful Rose! You should definitely do it!

Those who have my LJ have seen this but those who dont I have been meaning to tell you about it.
Right before Thanksgiving I attended the New England Fan Experience and got to meet a whole bunch of really cool sci-fi actors/actresses and get pics with them and autographs and such.
BUT...I did get to sit in on a Q&A session, talk to, and get a pic with the 5th Doctor - Peter Davidson!! Which was soo cool. I admit that he is not my Doctor. But still, this was an amazing opportunity! And he commented that he liked my 10 outfit! And if it wasnt for the photographer being grumpy and forcing me to stand on my mark that was taped on the ground I would have done the Davidson/Tennant promo shot pose from Time Crash. Ah well. Still a great pic!

I enjoyed it, though I have to say, I liked "Voyage of the Damned" a lot more. "Next" Doctor was quite fantastic.

Though I have to admit, the moment I saw "spoiler" Miss Hartigan I was like, "...0.0 SOMEONE HAS TO DO THIS"

I'm quite tempted to go back to my idea of making 10th Doctor's pinstriped suit for Costume Con this year (because I don't have the time/money/skill to make Reinette). I wonder how hard it'll be to find that proper color of suit/pinstripe; I haven't seen any pinstripe stuff around here that is that nice shade of brown with blue pinstripes.

Anyone else bringing anything Dr. Who related to Costume Con? (If there's a Four lurking somewhere in here, or any fan of the older series as well, I'm going to order some Jelly Babies for CostumeCon. I had them when I took my trip to the UK this spring and THEY REALLY ARE THAT GOOD)

Well, they'd be blackout scleras (i'm not sure if it's cg or actual scleras, it's probably whichever was cheaper, which is hard to judge, as sclearas are usually in the $200-300 range).

So true. I also liked that it solidied him as a canon Doctor (many tried to claim the TV movie 'didn't fit into the DW canon'). Either way, it means more cosplay of Eight! Which would be awesome!

I think there needs to be another multiple-doctor episode, and have him be in it. That would make me SO happy.

So true. I also liked that it solidied him as a canon Doctor (many tried to claim the TV movie 'didn't fit into the DW canon').

I don't think it was so much that people thought Eight wasn't canon, it was just that so many people thought the movie was so out there its hard to believe that the whole thing just wasn't a post-regeneration hallucination. XD (which is what a large group of us think, lol). But now he is, pretty much, canon, and I hope to see more Eight cosplay in the future too.

I want to cosplay Ms. Hartigan in her red dress, but sadly that's not going to happen for a long time. All that red silk is gonna be expensive.

The great thing about Eight is that P.M. can come back and look like anything for an 'Eight Special'. Long hair, short air, bald, it doesnt matter. We only saw him in the first day of his new regeneration. Whos to say what happened to him and what he looks like later on. So there are endless possibilities. Not to mention that it is either Eight or Nine that ends the 'Time War'. **Not to bring up a looong discussion about which it was! Just mentioning. lol** :p

I've recently discovered that on Etsy, someone hand-made River Song's TARDIS-replica journal! I wanted to get it, but I don't really have a reason to unless I decide to cosplay her. (Which I doubt. I'm a Rose girl.)

Anywho. I definitely think that some Fourth Doctor cosplayers should come out of hiding and come to Anime Boston. :]

Btw, anyone see they are making toy variations of the 'Journal of Impossible Things' (From "Human Nature/Family of Blood")? It even has the pictures with all the Doctors and such!

TOY ONES. That's awesome.

I still haven't managed to catch the whole of that movie, but P.M. was fantastic. I wanted him to be in a TV series, but sadly that didn't happen.

(Personal theory--I think it was Eight who went into the Time War, and because of the Time War he regenerated into Nine. )

I really need to find a good suit pattern that I can alter to fit me better. Anyone have any good suggestions for a short girl?

Personally, I agree with that theory.

As for the movie, I uploaded it to Megaupload so that you can have it and share in the Eight greatness :)

Happy New Year, indeed...

While I am not an official Dr. Who cosplayer...I did kinda make up my own.
While I was praised by some, there were some still who lectured me at the absurdity of my costume...
Tis why I haven't donned my makeshift sonic screwdriver again. >.<

There's always going to be someone out there to say something should be changed in anyones cosplays. Just forget about those people and enjoy the cosplay you've created! I remember writing you and commenting about your Doctor. You should def take it out more. Its cool to see original creations. Your Doctor could be the 11th Doctor!

Really, they chose the new Doctor already? Not that it suprises me any, since you figure if they're working on Series 5 for 2010 they'll have to start shooting now. I'll be interested to see who they chose/what sort of personality he'll have.

I know Moffatt said he was interested in having a 40+ year old Doctor this time around, but we'll see.

I watched all of 8's movie and DEAR GOD, he's kind of the shining light in it (OH GOD ERIC ROBERTS AS THE MASTER was amazingly bad).

I can see so many similarities between 8 and 10--the post-regeneration amnesia, the chattiness, the rambling. I wish McGann could have been in more things where we could have seen him, he was so good.

I'm really hoping the new Doctor goes back to wearing weird-looking clothes. I also wouldn't mind having another Grumpy Old Man Doctor. Mostly though, I care about his outfit.

Such is the priorities of a costumer, I suppose.

I don't know, I've seen some of the choices they had suggested for the doctor a while back and very few of the 40+ seem even remotely Doctor-ish. Actually, looking at several of the choices, you would wonder how the Doctor would be able to do all that running that comes with his job / life.

Personally I'd like to see Mark Warren as the Doctor, but I think his chances were at 40-1 or something like that. XD But he would have the ability to throw back, Doctor-wise, to at least #s 3, 8, and 10. All well, we'll find out sometime tonight (hopefully).

I tend to cosplay "villains" anyways, so... lol. Please to be having something other than daleks and cybermen now.

IDK... They need to do something different to his hair - too much of a DT goofy ripoff XD IDK... he has potential but I'll leave it at that until we see more.

And I knew they were going to aim for a young doctor. Just not that youg. The older Doctor wouldnt work with todays market. Finding an older Doctor that young fans would love would be very hard. Morrissey is an older Doctor that could have worked.

As far as his outfit goes, I'm just going to call ita hunch that since they went the 'young' route that I doubt we'll see this doctor running around in Victorian garb or anything of the like. *shrug*

For those who cant veiw the video on the BBC site:

EDIT: My hilarious outburst when he said 'I knew something the rest of Britain didnt know.' "You cheeky bastard! America is waiting on this news too!!!!" haha

Runi-Chan
01-03-2009, 06:07 PM
Wow...that's...that's really young, actually. I was NOT expecting him to be that young. I suppose he'll prove himself, though. People also thought Tom Baker was a bad choice for the Doctor, and now he's the gold standard. I'm curious to see what sort of personality he brings to 11.

When he's talking about watching Dr. Who with his flatmate, I had this hilarious thought of him sitting there and his flatmate going, "You know Tennant's leaving Who, right?" and him sitting there all nervous and trying not to smile about already having the role (because I'm sure he was cast before David announced he was leaving).

Tennant brought the series a lot of energy and attention, and it's definitely going to be weird watching a much younger Doctor. (He's only 26 oh my god he's young)

As long as Ten is not alone when he regenerates into Eleven, I will not be mad.

Also--I sort of doubt that's his final wardrobe for Eleven (might just be pressphotos, like when actors put out movies and get big editorials in magazines like Vogue wearing things they NEVER wear at any point in the movie), because it's far too similar to Ten. Each Doctor's had his own style in regards to his clothing and, if I'm remembering right, how he set up the inside of the TARDIS. (I doubt they'll change it for ten into eleven, though).

So now we know. Only a WHOLE YEAR until we find out what he's got. I'm thinking he'll either come in at the end of the Christmas special for this year, or Episode 1 of series 5 (I kind of want Tennant in that until the last few minutes).

Now I'm wondering what the remaining specials will be. Hoping that River Song will return, since clearly she must have been Companion with Ten for at least a little while.

And I continue to search for a good suit pattern. I'm quite intrigued that right now I'm watching something that Eric Roberts is in that is possibly worse than his turn as the Master.

Tennant brought the series a lot of energy and attention (not that Eccleston wasn't good, but the new series didn't get really good until Ten came along)

Says you. I personally prefer Eccleston to Tennant. Ten is kind of a ....well, he's a word I don't think we're allowed to say on cos.com, that's for certain. Nine is a cuddly widdle teddybear. You know, once you get past his badassery.

On the subject of Eleven, as long as his hair changes and he gets a costume that is more Doctor-ey than it is normal streetclothes, I'll be perfectly happy with him. Especially if his Doctor talks with his hands like he's doing in the interview. I've gotten over how young he is, because he's really only a couple of years younger than Peter Davison was when he first started being the Doctor, so, yes, while I would have preferred an older Doctor, he'll do just fine.

Runi-Chan

usagi--well, I got into the series when Ten showed up, so I'm biased, XD Nine was fairly badass, though, I will admit. Eccleston did do very well. Ten's my Doctor, so of course I'm a little biased, xp

(I'm just getting flashbacks of that "Christmas at Dr. Whos'" skit that Dead Ringers did.)

I'm really excited to see how this guy works out! I have confidence that Moffat et al would not have chosen someone if they didn't think he'd be brilliant.
I confess I was *hoping* for someone a bit older, a la Three, but he's the Doctor, he changes. It's rather pointless to be into this series if you can't be willing to give all Doctors an equal chance.

(That said, Nine > Ten any day >.>;;; )

To be honest, all time favorite of mine is Four. I love love love Tom Baker's voice. (I have this irrational love of voices, especially deep, lovely ones like Tom Baker's)

Then Ten. Then Nine. XD I didn't want to start any "Doctor" arguing because I know that's a very touchy subject amongst the fanbase.

Nine is still in my top three because, mostly, of "Dalek". I admit it, I wept like a baby. I did. Of course, I did that for a lot of episodes of Dr. Who, harharhar. I can't place why I like Ten more (other than because that's when I got into the series), I think cause he's higher energy than Nine and not so dark. But that's me.

BUT YEAH, ELEVEN. As long as he's not a clone of Ten I think he'll do fairly well.

Oh, I don't mean to fan that fire, really. I love all the Doctors, but of course not equally. And while I can say what I dislike about certain Doctors, I wouldn't bash any of them.
They ALL make the show what it is, and I think they've all done a fab job. Of course their different personalities lend themselves to be liked by different people. I find it pretty interesting how people "rank" their Doctors actually.

Doctor arguing really isn't worth it! We all love the same show.

Runi-Chan
01-03-2009, 09:17 PM
XD I didn't mean to either, but I'm tired and probably sick and have misconstrued things in my brain. I agree--it's the fact that he can change and so often does into a different face and personality that is still, somehow, the same man that makes him such a neat character.

I sort of rank mine like this--if I were to watch an episode and I had a choice to pick between one of the ten (well, 11 soon), I'd pick one of Four's first, then one Ten's. Then one of 9's.

But you're right--we all love the same show, and it's kind of pointless to argue over who is 'better' (I don't really think any one Doctor can be better than another because they all bring something different to the table. Apples to oranges).

I kind of hope someone tries to make the 11th Doctor for Costume Con. I feel like I'll run into at LEAST a Four in there, and it'd be neat to see all 11 lined up for photos.

I really need to find some good fabric for Ten's suit...it's surprisingly hard to find that sort of pinstripe, and I'm sort of insistent on it being brown with the blue pinstripe.

Personally I love all the Doctors in different ways, and their clothing even just as much.

The one thing that's amazing with Doctor Who, is over 45 years of being on the air (or in comics, books, big finish), everyone has been satisfied in one way or another with the various Doctors, companions, and villains. How many others series can provide that much? And to a costumer, its a treasure trove of inspiration!

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

I was digging around a few days ago, and realized I have this wig that looks exactly (well, with a little tiny bit of styling, anyway) like a certain Victoria Waterfield's hair. So now I'm thinking about cosplaying her to Timegate. I'd want to do it in black and white though, like what http://www.cosplay.com/photo/980393/ these people did. I apparently can't be simple with anything...
