You can ignore this thread if you want, I just got this really weird idea for constructing a Keyblade after visiting the Friendly Plastics site. :chatah:

Would it even be possible? To construct a Keyblade like Oblivion or Oathkeeper completely from Friendly Plastic? I wonder if it would break if not supported properly in some places?

Making the Kingdom Key wouldn't be so hard, because of its simple design, and I don't think its something you would worry about getting broken, since there aren't any thin pieces that come off it.

What are anyone's thoughts on this?

It seems like it would work... has it been used before?
I know people have used wood, foam, and even fiber glass, which I must say looks fabulous... but I've never seen it made in Friendly Plastics. You should try it out!
Perhaps you could START with the Kingdom Key, and if it works, do the Oblivion, that's quite the project in itself.

(Hehe, I've been playing the game for the second time... I think Rikku's kinda mean, but still, he's cute! Sora's got his creepy smile! Hehehe! Personally, I'll take Sephi... even if he was a pain to beat... correction, is still a pain to beat.... *smiles, waves, and steals Sephi's sword as he tries chasing her down*)

I think maybe you should try this method out with shorter keyblades first like the Fairy Harp

Probably a good idea. Or better yet, make a scaled-down version of any one of those Keyblades, to see if any methods I have in mind to make it look decent even work before I begin on the life-size version of it.

Hmmm. I wonder if too much friendly plastic shaped into a think sword would not hold... why not bake the baic shape out of wood, and then cover it and make designs with the friendly plastic?

Hmm. ^_^ Didn't think of that! That's a really good idea; and it saves in the money department. XB

By any chance would anyone have a good scan of the Halloweentown Keyblade? I forgot its true name but I'm sure you all know which Key I am referring to. ^_^;;;

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

DO NOT USE FRIENDLY PLASTIC FOR THIS!!! TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!! I bought some friendly plastic to make Chii ears and they came out SO CRAPPY!!! FP is NOT easy to work with for large scale projects - it cools almost instantly, so you only have a second to work with it. Plus, you'd have to buy about $200 worth to make a whole keyblade. Also, when it dries, it dries bumpy and warped looking. FP is only good for very small things. I CERTAINLY would not reccommended it for a keyblade!!

Just try carving wood...it'll come out MUCH nicer and will cost about $20.

Oh, here's a better pic:

O_O; Yikes. >_<!.. Okay, there goes that idea. ^_^; My first instinct was to use wood, anyway. I was just trying to think of some other ways, and be creative and all that shite. xD Thanks for warning me.

Thank You for the awesome link. I'm attemtin to do HalloweenTown Sora
Anyone know if grey polyester can be dyes to black? Am i right in thnking NO.

BTW I went to Home Depot and found that they have Wrough Iron Spray paint.....possibly, if I ask the Paint Dept., I can use that on the Pumkinhead. I men the bat looks like it has a fence top and, if so, those tops usually are IRON soo hence the wrought iron paint spray paint.
