hi ppl... i'm wondering if any of you know where i can get an earring like touya's (anc). i could attempt to make one, but i'd also like something i can wear on a regular basis (i'm really bad w/ non-cloth type stufff... this would probably come out really poorly)

here's a pic touya ^_^ ...

I made mine out of sculpy, and used spirit gum to get them on. also painted them more silver with a paint pen. n.n

For regular basis though that might be a bit harder... I'm not quite sure about that. x.X They are basically ear cuffs but I think you'll have a hard time finding an ear cuff that big that will also stay on your ear. (yay for gravity defying anime. >.>)

I think they sell earrings like that, if you look around at online stores. ^^ For everyday wear, anyway. Kham's description sounds just fine for cosplay. ^.~

Michi- They do? *_* Wow, I must be blind.. hahaha. (Noo nooo I must knoww aaalllll.. j/k ~_^)

Well if they do sell earrings like that online, looking would be a good idea. ^_^ making the sculpy curve like that and stay that way while baking was kind of annoying. :x

Actually, for small pieces like that, you can just boil the sculpey. It's easier than watching it in the oven. I did that for a little piece of jewelry, keep it in for about 3 minutes, and it was nice and hard! It's just another way!

Michael's sells this embossing metal which you could cut a shape from and glue to your ear. (Of course, you may not want to spend 10 dollars on a tube of metal for a piece of jewellry which is going to be that small, but you can keep it and use it for other things. It's real versatile stuff!)

You can find them at your friendly neighborhood Claires or Afterthoughts. They are called ear cuffs. Most are made of that silvery color anyway. They are fairly good quality

If you don't find any from those stores, look around for body piercing places. They sell all kinds of funky jewelry that can be used for costumes.

I saw one similar to that at Hot Topics. Yeah you should try looking in malls and stuff. I have also seen ear cuffs like that at craft festivals. They have stuff like that every year.
