There's someone on eBay that's making/selling them. Then you could always shell out about $60 for an official one (yes they are out there) :)

http://www.animaxis.com had them when they first came out, though they're probably out of stock by now. Doesn't mean someone else won't get them in soon....

just buy some sheet metal and rivet it to some fabric. it's still nice and flexible so it doesnt kill your head ^^ i dunno how well you can see it in my sakura pics in my gallery

If all else fails, use some of that cheep wa-mart sheet foam and cute and hotglue to a headband. it works quite nicely and looks rather good in pictures. Use a paint pen for the leaf symbol. If you dun't wanna mess with the metal.

ummmm, maryssa has a very good idea, im starting to wonder why I didnt do that.

for the symbol I used an embroider...
unfortunatly it didn't come out the way i had hoped...
(would have been better off using a marker)

Let's see. If you come to Japan, you can try Animate stores, as they used to sell the Konoha headband and Kakashi's gloves. If not, Cospa sells them for much more ($30 I think) but has the rarer headbands from the more obscure villages.

Or use the sheet metal / rivet idea. Of course, rivet before you wear it. I simply pounded a few bits into the sheet metal then glued it to fabric. However, when that fell apart, I bought my own.

You can use a simple etching tool, looks like a oversized pen with a tim that spins, but b4 you do that you will want to buff the metal to a good shine ;-)

I can make a konoha headband (and other Ninja villages) I'll charge $10 each, plus shipping. if you want I could send a picture of my own. I went as naruto at sakuracon 2003, my picture is on page 37. Its pretty simple to make, but I don't charge too much more then the materials. :)

Here are current auctions that are up on eBay that I found....
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&ht=1&query=naruto+head+protector

They have some cheap ones that look like foam rubber for like 5 buck and they also have metal ones from Japan for $35... Hope this helps ^^
