Sorry if this is in the wrong catagory or not, I was debating where to put it.
Anyways, my best friend and partner in crime more then subtley suggested that she wants to cosplay the YuRiPa trio as pixies, and I'm asking for suggestions or how to make Rikku's scarf tips "float". One other, the simplest method to elongate her boots would be to make boot covers, correct?

Since it's KH-specific, I'll move it to the general Video Games forum. ^^

A few ways to make the scarf float:
-Install thin armature-wire into the side(s) of the scarf. This wire can hold its shape pretty well and is easy to reshape. I used it for the curl on my Rip Van Winkle costume.
-Build the scarf overtop of some flat, bit ridgid plastic or felt. You could also feasably use chickenwire and then just put fleece between it and the color fabric you want folks to see.
I'll probably be using the second method for my scarf (Abel - Trinity Blood) when I get to that part. Having it hang normally just looks so dull ;p

for my first attempt, I actually tried to use craft foam to help it float, but it ended up just flopping over!! >< so I DEFINATELY recomend the wire idea! but don't choose too thin/thick of a wire either!! ^^

I saw a KH2 Rikku at Otakon this year and the way she did it was with wire. She had some thick stuff to keep it sturdy but also thin enough so it did not stick out too much. It looked like a good job, it did not fall or anything. But you will have to watch where you are going when you are walking around. Be prepared to readjust them due to people bumping them and bending them.
