Tormund is my third Neopets fursuit, and I think I actually managed to get him to look like the actual character better than my Sophie or Thade costumes. I chose him because my sis wanted to do Gnarfas and I wanted to come up with a companion 'suit for the Hall Costume. What better combo is there than hero and villain?

The head was made with a plastic canvas base, hot glued to a sturdy wire headband. The head shape was softened and built up with layers of batting, and the fabric was sewn on top. The eyes are craft foam with a black sheer fabric for the pupils (which were also my vision holes). Two small CPU fans were hooked up inside the costume head, to blow carbon dioxide out of the costume, but it was still very hot inside! The teeth and nose are made of fimo clay.

The weapons are made from plexiglass, with aluminum flashing glued on either side. There are LED lights embedded in the plexiglass so the edges of the sword and shield glow (to imitate the elemental motes from the video game). The sword hilt was a plastic toy base with model magic sculpted on top. Both sword and shield can glow red, blue, or purple.

The 'chainmail' fabric was simply a silver sequin fabric, and was turned wrongside-out for the hands and feet because the character has those items a darker grey than the rest of his chainmail.

Of all the fursuits I've done, I think this one is one of the more comfortable, since the body is made of normal clothing and is very cool. The head is still very hot to wear, but overall I can see better and I feel better in this head than any of my other fursuit heads.
