I always played Link when I first started playing Soul Calibur II. My friend bribed me (thankfully) into going to the con by tempting me with the idea of cosplaying him. Elf boys rock.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES: This was my first costume, and being that I really had no sewing experience, was made with large amounts of help by my mother over winter break. She sewed the tunic and hat, while I made the scabbard and boot covers. Due to its extremely ghetto nature, it was quickly retired (that, and the fact that I ripped up the tunic).
