Her costume is drawn slightly differently in every picture, so I felt free to pick and choose and use my imagination for the details and jewellery.

I went for a top and bottom instead of a jumpsuit for ease of wear (like going to the bathroom), as well as aesthetics. The choli and pants are heavy white satin, and I used bits of the blue sari for trim and added gold bells.

Headdress: Brass from the same sheet as my RO Mage staff. I was really clever and had designed the earpieces to be attached to headphones that clip onto the ear, but the metal was too heavy and I ended up having to put a strap over the top of the head after all. -.-;; Fortunately it's not too noticeable. I'd also planned on having resin jewels, but we were having a lot of trouble with resin right before the con and the jewels just refused to I whipped up some Paperclay replacements. The back of the headpiece is plastic mesh covered in sari fabric and more bells.

Jewellery: For the necklace I hand-shaped 16-gauge brass wire and then hammered it to flatten and stiffen it. I looked everywhere for large blue glass beads but was unable to find any in the city, so once again I pulled out my trusty Paperclay. I'm quite happy with how the necklace turned out. The bracelets, anklets and incredibly heavy earrings were bought in Little India, the fancy hand ornament and jingly belt were bought off Ebay, and the big blue tassel I found on sale at Fabricland and just HAD to use for Kendappa. ^_^

Shoes: Pumps bought for $2 at Salvation Army, covered with sari fabric, then beaded and trimmed. Covering shoes with non-stretchy fabric is VERY annoying. x____x;

Harp: It's half done, but the papier-mache stuff I covered it in wouldn't sand well (it was coming off in chunks) so I'll have to recover it in Bondo or something. Hope to finish it eventually.
