Description

Ah, Daniel. This costume took a great deal of hand sewing for as little detail as you can see on this.

To start from the bottom up, the boots. I found a pretty good pair of boots on sale, bought 'em, and mixed up some fabric paints to make the main part pale gold and the fold over a dusty gold. The only other part of this costume that was bought were the white pants I wore under my outfit.

The skirt wasn't terribly difficult, but took a good deal of fabric. The bottom hem was twice as wide as the top, which was further brought in by an elastic waist band, which gave it its gathers.

The undershirt was where the sleeves came from. It's a short shirt with sleeves sketched out from old medieval patterns. It was made longer than needed, then rolled back and tacked like that. The gloves were made from the same pattern I used for my Boogiepop gloves, and pinned to the inside of my undershirt. I stitched on red beads for each of the red dots on his gloves.

The tunic took the most time. The shoulders have interfacing, and the inside collar was doubled over and stitched in with interfacing and then ironed up wrong for texture. I then sketched out where to put the gold trim and spent over ten hours (in one sitting because I'm insane) hand-stitching the trim on. The cummerbund was stitched together last and held closed by hooks and eyes.

The necklace was made from resin, and attached to a gold chain. I unfortunately only had Halloween cheap makeup for my first wearing of this, and hope to wear it again with a wig instead of painted hair and with decent body paint. The black sclera lenses are the same from my Dream costume, which is probably pretty obvious.

I really liked being in this costume. I felt very serene at all times. I had fun when my family (other Endless cosplayers) finally showed up, too. I hope to have a properly entire Endless group together soon.
