This was one of my favorite cosplays because it was a fun experience to do. While the costume was made prior to the release of the Miyazaki movie, this costume was intended for different purposes. This costume was made 2003-2004 (can't remember) but I was very excited about it.

When Howl's Moving Castle came out, it looked exactly the same as Sophie's costume. I bought the hat during my Hawaii trip, and I love the costume.

For a music final in my orchestra class, I chose to rearrange the theme to Howl's Moving Castle's Merry-Go-Round of Life, and therefore I then prepared the costume as my suit for the performance on my violin.

I got quite creative with Sophie's outfit...such as the top collar and ruffles. I guess you can call it custom character moment. XD
