Lotor was something I kind of fell into making. I've liked the character every since I was a kid, so he seemed like a good choice to be my first anime character.
His design is a bit simplistic, so I added some elements to him that I felt made him a bit more detailed and realistic. This included investing in a pair of full-scleral yellow contact lenses. I would have made them if this was something I could do, but I trusted the folks from 9MMSFX to work them for me, and they did wonders for me. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
The unfortunate fact remains that, like some of my other costumes, he's gone through a bit and needs some repair and remaking before he is ready to come to use again. I'm really hoping to bring him back, however because he's one of those characters you don't see often at conventions. I also hope that I can do a better job with his makeup..I've learned that blue skin is awfully difficult to do and do well!
