This was the most expensive costume I have made yet! I used 4 yards of lovely peau de soie to make the dress, and that cost me a pretty penny. The materials would have cost me much more if it weren't for Hancock Fabrics' clearance and Michael's discount. I also discovered the wonderful properties of Heat n' Bond Ultrahold with which I used to apply all the swirly yellow designs on the dress...the night before we left for the con XD.

The wig was interesting to make. The super Peach bangs each have half a styrofoam ball and some fun foam sewn onto them to give them their unusual shape. I used so much hair that the wig currently looks so thin in the back! I will be fixing that along with the back bangs because they currently make me look like some deranged fire demon (that would be an interesting cosplay..).

The dark pink corset area can stop bullets. I put in two layers of satin and two layers of denim, and it's fully lined. I wasn't sure whether or not to put boning in, but I think I will do it to give it a better shape.

The pearls were individually sewn and I ruffled the entire dress by hand. Why yes, that was so much fun! *sarcasm* Honestly though, the ruffling does give it the proper effect.
