My boyfriend already built his costume, so he pretty much just told me what to buy and how to tweak it so that a normal flightsuit would turn into a Ghostbuster jumpsuit.
The flightsuit is made for men, so its pretty formless, so recently my mom helped me alter it a bit so that it'd fit my shape a bit better.

Initially, we dyed it with some grey, but then decided they should be darker, so we threw in more grey and black also.
My bf spray painted the armbands, since he wasn't happy with the dyed versions.
The belt was just an army issue belt from a surplus store in town. We added a belt pouch and glued some computer parts to it (RAM and videocards!) to make them look a bit more high-tech.
The patches were a special order from some guy in Brazil who did an AMAZING job.
