I love researching historical clothing and undergarments. This costume has a period appropriate corset, chemise, petticoat, and set of boots. All of my seams on my apron are hidden so nothing will show. It was a lot of hand sewing and planning to make sure all seams were enclosed. Dress seams were serged and hand hemmed. The hat, sleeves, collar and most the apron were all drafted. I also came to hate pinking sheers while cutting the ruffles for the petticoat. They made my poor hand so sore!
