She was my hero in high school, so of course Arkadia and I were all over cosplaying from it. She and Jane are like extremely exaggerated maladjusted versions of ourselves from back then anyway.

I didn't take any pictures of this at Comic-Con, so unfortunately I have no photos to upload of it yet. Hope to remedy that soon.

Like most animated shows, the artwork is never fully consistent. The shirt was particularly difficult to color-match, but I ended up just finding a T-shirt in the stores that worked well. In most of the screencaps I had, Daria's pleated skirt fans out in different directions- the pleats go one way on one side, then the other way on the other. This was fun to do. With the jacket, I was a little worried that the crazy lapels would fall flat, but stiff interfacing kept them from drooping. The glasses were cheap sunglasses that I popped the lenses out of and painted. Slouching was honestly the hardest part! Why wouldn't you want good posture in pictures?
