The goddess DAWN has always been an idol of mine - a pin-up, gorgeous redhead with a powerful and provoking story. Seeing the contest in 2006 inspired me to enter in 2007, so I took my favourite image of her and grew determined to make it as accurate as possible.

Everything was made by me and included a lot of firsts - most notably my first corset. It took me a long while to figure out the bust and how the leaf-shoulder should function, but it all worked out great in the end.

Made with satin spandex, wonderflex, latex, faux leather, upholstery fabric, a sacrificed bra, and two garlands of fake red oak leaves. Overall I'd say this took me 60+ hours and under $50.
