I love this costume. It was fun to make and so much fun to wear. I used a pair of pants that I already had, sewed the jacket and vest, and made the gourd from paper mache. I kept changing costumes at Mechacon, so it was interesting to have to redo the makeup every time I changed.
EDIT: I've since remade the vest and I'll be revamping the gourd too. I also plan to get some crazy Gaara contacts. Look for the new and improved version at A-kon 2008! I'll be attending with my husband as Kankuro and my sister as Temari.
