Padme's Pastel Lake Dress.
No detailed was spared for this costume, every photo was looked at in great detail to insanity.
It was made out of the same materials for used for the dress in the movie, consisting of a Sandwashed Silk Satin Halterneck gown & Silk Chiffon wings. They were dyed using Dylon's Cold water dyes, & endless practising went into perfecting the colour merging affect. The Necklace was made from a Mother of Pearl laminated Shell sheet, in which the pieces were cut out by hand & stuck on to a Metal Lithoplate base which had already been cut to the shape of the necklace & sprayed Gold. My Dad did this & he cut out the Gold bands that go around the upper arms, the rest of the mother pearl shell was used on the gold bands to complete the pattern.
My mum worked very hard to get this exectley right & also made my brother Jedi Outfit as well, as no Padme would be complete without her Anakin.
