This is currently my baby. When I made this costume, it was made with a group, and i was also making Kefka. Kefka was intended to be my baby, and now...that costume is getting some work done. And until i'm happy with it - lulu is my BABY. The corset was my first corset - trained in corsetry by miss bunnymachine - and i am a fan of making corsets now! all fully boned, zip-ties for waist training, a-hoy! The dress is made of a shiny black stretch material, so the dress is actually backless, for accuracy. I had lots of fun making her hairsticks and jewelry (i actually really HATE sewing large things, but love making little fiddly things like corsets and props) but my favorite aspect of this costume is the trim. I made it with a SEEEKRIT METHOD (haha. not really. interfacing, primed with white paint, drawn on and sealed. sharpie, watercolor, insanity, blood, sweat, tears. etc.) But the trim is all fully accurate, and colourful, and i love it. It took a long-butt time. So i'm being a bit vain.
Oh, and the belts! Those were actually a way easy part. Weird, huh?
