o, this is the costume that I made for Anime Weekend Atlanta. Obviously a Chobits Cosplay, my roommate Adrienne did the counterpart costume and I think they turned out pretty good. Anyways, this costume took about 30 hours of work and about $175 to make. This particular costume had about 75 pearls and there is boning in all the seams of the bodice. (first time working with boning....lots of fun) The back skirts are backed with craft backing to give them some support, you can't really see it here, but the back skirts are supported by a craft backing as well as wire on the underside so that they would have that gravity defying feel that is so difficult to pull off. I think we collectively spent about eight hours just sewing on pearls
