It was a last minute decision to go to Dragon*Con, and on a whim I decided to cosplay Willa. Figured the crowd would be old enough to remember Thundercats, and the con would have no problem with the fake weapons.
This is the first cosplay where I had to figure out props, the quiver is cardboard glued into a tube and the arrows are dowels with foam feathers. Real feathers would not survive the trip to Atlanta much less the con. The dagger is cardboard cut into shape and glued together. I modified Featherweight's cardboard katana tutorial for everything. Then I covered it in paperclay painted, distressed, and sealed it. The flower petals are cut from leftover fabric and covered with stiffener then the edges are painted. Did the same with the leaves, and glued them to a barrette.
I did some rearranging with the braid and flower. According to the model sheets Willa is left handed so I wore the braid over the right shoulder and flower over my left ear. Otherwise the braid would get in the way when you're trying to shoot, and it's easier to add the flower to your left side when you're left handed.
