The jacket itself took about 12 hours to make (sewing the jacket and adding all the trim). The painting on the back took about 5 hours and the painting on the front took about 6. All the chinese knots were done by hand, took about 2 hours to do them and then handsew them on (I'll be securing them once I put in the lining). The sleeves and side panels took about 2 hrs to paint The hand-stitching on the belt took about 3 hrs to do and the panels/belt/shoulder pieces took about 3 days. The sculpted pieces took about 4 hrs to make and about 2 hours to paint (including drying time)

I have recently completed the jacket. Overall, I'd have to say this jacket took me about 28 hours to make, which includes making the jacket, painting it, putting on all the edging, lining it, and hand-making the chinese knots and ties

I will be adding embroidery around all the edges of the designs and filling in some of the tiny details.
