I saw Tamber's costume on the cover art for the game Children of Mana and was taken aback at how beautiful and interesting it was. After playing the game, Tamber is a very strong and determined character - which I really like. This costume was so much fun to make! I had to gradient dye the skirt fabric, which came out beautifully. I also love my headpiece - it's my favorite part ^.^
I made the bag from scratch using a CD case template, and made the belt from the same material for the bag. There's a real belt buckle for the belt, but I did make the "decorative" buckle out of hot glue and cardboard. A lot went on with this costume that I had to make - the arm covers, the sleeve caps, the leg ties, the collar, the shoe covers, the headband, the wig (which I added more wefts to and cut long layers into and styled), making my own bias tape for the bodice and straps, all the hand-painting on the skirt/top/head scarf/arm covers, etc. It was really interesting to figure out all the little quirks of the costume and how to go about making them, but, like I said, I really enjoyed making this costume.
