OH MY GOD.
If you'd like to attempt Crusnik Cain, I've a word of advice for you.
This costume WILL murder your very soul. It's true!
Let me go into detail on each part of the costume (a tutorial will be posted later, this is just what they're made of):
Gloves - Image of Rosecross that I made (send me a message if you want it for iron-ons/stencils!), ironed on store-bought gloves.
Outfit - Inner cape uses Butterick #6844. Screw the instructions, this is a DIFFICULT pattern. The cape was made up. The fabric is bedsheets. For the trim, I used Stitch Witchery and ribbons. The studs were from 3 and 1/2 kits from the Dollar Store (believe it!).
Armor - Craft foam armor, the popular tutorial. It's all followed closely except I skipped the Future Wax step because I thought it looked dumb on my scrap test. I'll send you armor pattern pieces if you ask.
Sash - Handpainted by my dearest friend Shenoa (who is Dietrich in these pictures)
Backplate - Armor was already mentioned. The two backplates are foamcore board attached by Tiewraps. Baphomet's head is made of four layers of insulation foam glued together and carved with a picture-hanging wire attached to jumper cables (believe that too), then sanded down and painted. The wings were originally from Nobbies, but I had to almost completely rebuild them because I noticed on the WEDNESDAY before the con that one side was cardboard (D:). The shoulder hooks, carefully hidden, are made from white-duct-tape-covered flattened pieces of electrical conduit. The pointy arch is made of dowels and other assorted pieces of wood. The designs on the hanging bottom part of the backplate are made of craft foam.
Wig - Hairspray + blowdryer = love. I used the Ena from Amphigory in 266T.
Makeup - Dollar Store makeup in the palest colour I could find. I'm actually a pretty warm skintone, so making me not look like fail was a challenge. My eyes have this Maybelline crayon on them + liner, but that wasn't dark enough for my lips, so those were liquid eyeliner. =D
