Fun costume with an entire group who are all fans of the series. I love Genshiken (the series that spawned Kujian), so I liked the idea when they asked me to cosplay with them and even play the president's role^^

The costume itself is pretty generic - a (sort of) pleated skirt, a petticoat, a blouse, and the helmet (made of craft foam and papier maché) - but the wig is a real eyecatcher *.* I used a butt-length curly wig (the Lucia from Amphigory.com) in yellow, then wefted six (!) packs of wavy extensions in yellow and blonde and sewed the wefts to the wig. (Next time, I'd probably get straight extensions and curl them later, making chunky curls / waves instead of ending up with that afro mop *lol*)

I love the costume for its toony, overdone look - everything's big and disproportionate which makes it look so funny, even though it contrasts with Ritsuko's serious attitude. That's an aspect I find intriguing, as I usually don't cosplay as 'funny' and bizarre characters but rather as the serious, strong&silent or badass kind^^

We're planning to finish the costumes and wear them again in 2008. I'd like to revamp my petticoat and make the patch that belongs on the uniform (the costume was rushed, I made it within a few days before the con.)
