My husband is obsessed with German military stuff, especially tanks, and it can't hurt when there are cute girls involved, so you can imagine he fell in love with this series of Guide Books/Manga about cute girls going to military school to train in German tanks.
The school girl/military uniforms looked cute enough, so when he asked me to make this, I put it together in about a weekend. I already had the perfect wig from my Kasumi costumes, so this is probably the cheapest costume I've ever worn.

As for construction details: The jacket is made from a cotton twill and is fully lined. I drafted my own pattern since the collar is rather oversized and really, I'm too cheap to buy a simple jacket pattern! The skirt is made from a gorgeous wool blend - it's very lightweight, but has a great texture and the color was perfect. The tie was from an old costume, and used a white shirt I already had. The belt was the only thing besides fabric I had to buy for this costume.

My favorite aspect of this is absolutely the white bunny cutouts on the collar -- too cute!
