my friends at school started calling me Akito before i even knew who the character was... now that i do i feel that this is finaly going to be the cosplay that i fit into ! the cosplay to end all my searching and trama of having failures !
uhh... i have the eye patch done and thats it ... and i dont even know if it will last long enough to make it to Momo-con ... ( it seems so far away ~) but its enough to keep me going!
There are already serval problems with the costume that i have already figured out ... 1. i wear glasses and my mom is too subborn to buy me a pair of contacts 2. I CANT CUT WIGS FOR MY LIFE 3. fish hooks + blindage + roller skates do not mix very well ... more so with all the stairs at momo-con...
im pretty much putting my well being in danger for this costume... thats how strongly i feel like its the one that im finaly going to fit into though ...

its kindda werid ... my friends support my cosplay ALOT more then my mom ... one of them is even willing enough to give me the money to buy my contacts ...

after waiting what seemed like forever my mom finaly got the nerve to take me to go get supplys ...
basic construction was based off a normal hoodie pattern that i found. after finguring out that the hoodie didnt exactly fit me the way i thought it would, i recut the back piece and had cut out the sleeves and hood several times before i finally got it to the way i wanted it to be (i still feel that the sleeves are too short though)... i forget the name of what the materal is that i used, but i cant iron it on the front because it will melt x.x; ... for the stripes on the sleeves i used a 30 inch double zip zipper x.x; then for the black part i used single fold black bais type ... it was also used in the front and on the mask part of the hood to out line the eyes. the only part of the jacket that i lined was the hood. with black lining then went over the sems with the bais type so it would look better. for lack of a better idea, i used velcro to attach the mask to the inside of the hood i also used back pack strapping for the two straps at the top of the hood, the bottom of the front and the sleeves. at the end of the straps i used metal rings what i sewed on but folding the strapping over one side. for the strapping on the sleeves i instead attached a snap buckle that can be buckled into place to look like a stright jacket. i placed the other side of the buckle on the far sides of the jacket , but not too far so that if i sat i wouldnt sit on them. For the shark on the back im going to draw the picture out, then use the lucie we own and paint the pattern on the back with fabric pens.

for the pants i found a pair of white jeans on sale at kolhs for 5 bucks that fit me pretty well. i then mesured the circumfernce of my leg at my lower thigh and my cave. then cut out four orange pieces to corrisond. for the straps i cut out 4 30 inch strips and attached a werid looking buckle to the end that will do for hooks with out accualy hurting people. I used the same rings from the hoodie on the pants and attached the straps with velcro...

oh yea~
for the eye patch(which im going to redo) im going to take an all pourpose shoulder pad and cut it to the size i need, then sew white fabric onto it and try to make it look as close to the eye patch Akito has... im going to use white shoe strings and elastic for the straps that hold the patch in place.

im going to go out this weekend with my friend that owns a pair of skates that will fit me ... shes going to teach me how to skate and maybe i'll be able to wear the skates to the con if i get good fast ...
