I actually made this costume as my senior project, which is a requirement for graduation at my high school. It took me nearly 130 hours over the course of five months, and I'm so glad I'm done. The only thing I have to do now is repair the tail, which got a little burned at Momocon.

The head is made of a mesh base with several layers of foam, and vision/breathing is out the mouth, which is buckram. The body was built from a wire tube base with a wire/chickenwire rounded cage attached to that. On top of that, there's about a two inch layer of foam, and then the fur. This makes it fairly lightweight (and by that, I mean roughly 35 pounds), but still squishy/huggable. The feet are huge, built on an exercise mat base with sneakers glued to them, with several layers of foam built up and a tube made out of a flexible cutting board for the ankle part.

Storage for this beast is a pain in the neck, and I have no idea how to transport it to and from cons, but I'm proud of it nonetheless.
