Description
Nouie Ninim is a fictive character. Character and gown are inspired by the elves in J.R.R. Tolkien's “Lord of the Rings”.
Dress:
The dress is made of purple cotton velvet and is completely lined with a lilac and silver sari. It has a v-neck, bust darts and a waist seam. It has an invisible zipper in the back and additionally a lacing in the back.
The upper sleeves are tight-fitting. The lower sleeves are bell-shaped, the pattern is like a half circle. The whole sleeve is lined with the lilac sari.
The trim at the neckline and elbow is self-made. The base for this trim was also the lilac sari. It’s hand-embroidered with metal appliqués, little brooches and all in all more than 4.000 beads.
Girdle:
The Y-shaped girdle is also made of the same lilac sari as used for lining the dress. It’s has some decorative brooches in the front. It’s closed in the back with a lacing.
Jewelry:
In the meanwhile I have three different sets of jewelry for this dress. All of them are purple and silver and harmonize with the colors of the sari.
